Tulsi Polls 3% in Texas

The most recent statewide poll in Texas, from University of Texas/Texas Tribune, shows Tulsi polling at 3%. This was a poll of 1,200 people, which indicates that about 36 of those people polled for her. Not too shabby! She was well ahead of Booker, Gillibrand, Klobuchar, and Inslee who polled at 1%, and Yang and Williamson were at 0% in the poll--and she was only a bit behind Harris, who polled at 5%.

You've probably never heard off Mary Wilson. She only managed to raise a measly $40,000 while running for Texas Congressional District 21. The former math teacher was literally outspent by every other candidate in yesterday's primary.

There is a big election today in Italy, but it's unlikely to have a good or decisive outcome.
The other election worth keeping an eye on is Tuesday's Texas primaries.

Last Saturday in Waxahachie, TX, Gwynevere River Song reportedly got into an argument with another adult in her home, which led to that other person shooting Song to death. We have no idea what the argument concerned, but we do know that Song was a transgender woman. The assailant was also injured during the shooting and he was transported to a hospital.

Legislators this year spent countless hours talking about who should use which bathroom in Texas. But they failed to pass proposals that would restrict where transgender Texans relieve themselves or change clothes, leading Gov. Greg Abbott to add the item to his special session agenda.

This is not unusual by itself. We must educate our fellow citizens about who we are in order to establish our niche in society. That's pretty much why I do what I do.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has called a special session, largely so he can push once again for the removal of transgender people from from participation in human society (i.e. Senate Bill 6).
