Capitalists want to make the workers more obedient

very late getting to this, People's Party e-mail I missed linked to this announcement of events today in support of the workers trying to organize Amazon - some still haven't happened yet, especially on west coast:
While a lot is made of the strikes shutting France down during Christmas week, it is interesting to note that it is a reaction to the latest moves by Macron against the working classes. And there are broad swathes of the country not really feeling the strikes at all.
Technology is terrific. Technology is terrible. Or, in a mashup of Dickens with current norms of ahistorical, absolutist proclamations: these are the best of times; these are the worst of times. More accurately, as ecologists have long told us, there is no such thing as a free lunch. Technology is great, but we still gotta eat.
