There is a war raging inside and outside the Democratic Party. The war's origins go back to the beginning of the Clinton Era in 1992, when corporatists took over the party machinery and began excluding (and then demonizing) the progressive wing of the party, when irredeemable neoliberal assholes like Rahm Emmanuel became the public face of the Democratic Party. But, it was the 2016 campaign that put this civil war on the front pages.
