Here we are folks, less than a week until the Democratic National Convention and the countdown finally begins. Cue the curtain call to political theater; we've seen this all before. So then why do I feel something is different this time? Maybe because we are hoping all of Bernie's delegates make it to the floor, crash through the veneer of bullshit, and become the voices of 12 million people who were jilted by the Democratic Party.

As I warned our community in my first Diary here on caucus99percent, the day was coming when we would receive a very large influx of new (and recently banned!) users from Daily Kos, and therefore we should be ready to help support them so our esteemed host JtC didn't have to do it all.

When Markos Moulitsas informed members of the Daily Kos that Hillary Clinton’s candidacy was “inevitable” the response from Democratic supporters was predictable. Traditional progressives -- understanding that anointed candidates are the antithesis of Democracy -- slammed their collective feet on the brakes. The last thing they wanted was another untrustworthy neo-liberal politician leading the Democratic Party.
