Organization trying to shut down freedom of speech?

Since there is clearly an organization trying to take over the world actully several interlocking organizations are, and they all express contempt for democracy . I think coming to a conclusion that they are arrayed gainst online free speech and trying to destroy it by dirty tricks, is quite reasonable. I just wanted to post out that this group seems to me to likely be associated with prominnt Democrats or ex-Democrats. (they are certainly not Democratic) If you care about democracy,.

what are we doing to help fix the housing crisis today.

What about manufactured housing. We could figure out ways to make affordable housing cheaper.

People neeed housing they OWN. Because of the deference we give proprty owners, renters are never able to feel secure as renters. that they will have stability and privacy and safety.

But housing is importance for peoples sanity and safety. Why cant we devote our energy to building a standard inexpensive affordable small homes. A standard small affordable home.

Neoliberalism: Transactions versus relationships

I have spent the better part of today in phone queues, trying to sort out a financial problem. As I sat on these queues, I was constantly propositioned with questionaires asking me how I like the service. Every time I walk in a store, I get asked if I have/want the "club card". Every day I get junk mail from every corporation I have so much as done a Google search on. All these robo-invitations are trying to get me to be in a "relationship" with a faceless corporation.

Camelot Was More Than A Fairy Tale

It was a vision for the future, once which would have made the entire planet a very different place today had it been realized.

WindDancer 13's post, What the Media Would Like Us to Believe, looks at just one of the false visions We the People are expected to believe, in part so that we don't upset the profitably rotten corporatist apple cart. There are many more.

My Back Pages - US Government and Corporations Cooperate To Create Your Dystopian Future

I'm slowly bringing some of my old articles over to post here on C99. This is one that I originally published Jun 21, 2013. Now that we are in the midst of FBI vs. Apple wherein the FBI is attempting to compel Apple to become an arm of the surveillance state, some of this seems pretty current in a way.

The US government works closely with thousands of corporations to bring you everything from national security to the drivers of climate change.  The connections between these entities are diverse and often quite opaque making it difficult for citizens to tell who is really in charge.  Is it the corporations with their ultimate responsibility to make a profit for their owners and shareholders, or is it the government with its ultimate responsibility to the electorate that is in charge?  Do the principles of government or business apply to joint decision making processes when government invests in businesses and sits on their boards, or when government agencies have representatives of business sit on task forces and decision making structures?

The economist and moral philosopher Adam Smith wrote, “people of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices.”

What happens when the interests of business and government so align, that they are fundamentally, "in the same business?"

From Popular Resistance: "Is Obama’s legacy really all butterflies and rainbow flags?"

Washington, DC – Following a week of impressive Supreme Court decisions, many are saying Obama’s legacy is secure. But is it really? Has all of America forgotten about the war on whistle blowers, the war on immigrants, the war on drugs, war on privacy, and the war on civilians living underneath drone aircraft? This not mention the Trans-Pacific Partnership and the continuing pillaging by Wall Street. So how exactly is Obama’s legacy secure? Well, sometimes it takes a comedy show to break all this down. Watch this clip from “Redacted Tonight with Lee Camp.”
