Well well well, did anyone else get this email? And we need to

find out who's behind this crap.

#MOVEMENTFORTHE99%#

The unthinkable has happened - Donald Trump has won. Further, the Republicans have seized control of both chambers of congress. With this power they are planning to unleash a storm of attacks against the most vulnerable in our society. This cannot stand. We need to stand as one and revive the solidarity in the old labor slogan, “an injury to one, is an injury all.” We need to build the fightback to Trump and the Right.

Within hours of Trump being elected, Movement for the 99%, with Socialist Alternative and Socialist Students, put out the call for mass protests across the country to unite against sexism and racism and to begin building the movement against Trump and the the billionaire class. In less than 24 hours nearly 40,000 people answered our call! Please contribute $25 to grow our movement.

The numbers of people - mostly young people - who attended in each city is electrifying: New York City had 10,000 people; Philadelphia 6,000; Boston 10,000; Seattle 6,000; and Oakland 5,000. Our protests were a top story on newscasts across the country and internationally - from CNN to The Guardian.

This only the beginning.

Plans are underway for huge nationwide protests around Trump’s inauguration on January 20th and 21st. We need to build a grassroots movement against threats to escalate mass deportations of immigrants and a clampdown on muslim communities, among other attacks. Movement for the 99% will be at the forefront of building these demonstrations and organizing broad community coalitions to stand united against bigotry and hate.

But to challenge Trump’s agenda, we need your help. We need the millions of people who stood for Bernie’s political revolution to join in building an independent grassroots movement that can stand against fierce attacks from Trump and the Right. We need to raise $10,000 in the next week to begin building for the Inauguration protests being planned across the country. Please contribute $25, $50, or $100 today!

Now I don't know how I got on their mailing list but if you look at where I bolded the print at the bottom of the page, it's being sent in behalf of Sanders. He needs to own this if they are part of his organization. And he needs to fuck off if they're using information given to the Sanders campaign when I was supporting him. Or maybe this is another DNC scam. Or did David Brock come up from the sewer and team up with the Clinton's to do this? Regardless, I am pissed.

They obviously think they're going to pull a Chimpy McSmirkster here and change the results of the election. (Gore DID win Florida after all that bullshit and lying.) I hate Trump but I hate the Clinton's far more.

Oh yeah. They want money. I wouldn't give these morons a nickle if I was as rich as Hellery Clinton.

EDIT: When I 'unsubscribed' to their emails they thanked me for my feedback. I think they might be changing their minds about that one.

Plus they are using info from the Sanders campaign. I'm on a 'list' of Sanders supporters and that's how they got my email address the shitheels.

I unsubscribed and reported it as spam. I haven't received an email from the DNC in a couple years since I threatened to sue them, so I suspect this did somehow come from Sanders email list.

“Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.”
George W. Bush

I didn't subscribe to their list, so they must have bought or been given some other list. Never heard of 'em til I started getting emails, which I ignored. They say they are something called "Campaign for America’s Future" / "Institute For America's Future". Looking that up...

Here's their email:

Protests Escalate as Russia Admits to Helping Trump

No Quarter!

This is Trump’s plan for his first 100 days:

Take away health insurance from 20 million Americans.
Begin mass deportation of 11 million undocumented immigrants.
Nominate a Supreme Court justice who will vote to end legal abortion.
Pass new libel laws targeting critical journalists.
Enact national “stop-and-frisk” laws.
Prosecute and potentially jail Hillary Clinton.

Trump may be reckless, but he means what he says. In January he will begin to act. His party controls both the House and the Senate, and will soon have control of the Supreme Court.

The peril cannot be exaggerated. Depression and despair are a luxury we cannot afford. We must organize and prepare to use all the remaining tools of citizenship- in the courts, the press and, when needed, the streets with massive civil disobedience.

People’s Action is up to this challenge. We have thousands of trained organizers in almost 40 states. We hoped this election would turn out differently. But hope won’t keep families together, defend earned benefits and protect the institutions of our Republic.

We need your help. If you are tired, we understand. If you are disgusted, so are we. But we are not discouraged. Please make a generous contribution. Thank you, for all you do.

Just one little note about their "facts": That "Trump's plan for his first 100 days" is snippets of audience-pandering crap he said, plus things that mouth-frothing commentators have inferred, not an announced plan. He also said on multiple occasions that he was not necessarily going to do what he said. Trump supporters said they didn't care.

So...be afraid! Be very afraid! Do not do anything to calm the situation down! Fan the flames! Us against them! Ignore basic human psychology! None of that "win friends and influence people" namby pamby stuff for us! Let's *guarantee* that things will get much worse!

of Clinton's drubbing. I don't care if the who party burns down. Here in Nebraska our Senators are generally ex-Repubbies anyway. Brad Ashford was a rightie. But all in all he's a much better rep than that other famous ex-Repubbie Senator we had, Ben Nelson. But this violence and destruction is going too damn far. There's something else at work here.
