Today is the day to call your senators!

This article gives links and also a list of the Republicans who are on the fence.

Need some inspiration? Here is Bernie's speech in congress last week:

It is quick and easy. Just say you are opposed to the health care bill because it takes health care away from millions of Americans and remind your senator they are supposed to be protecting the citizens of your state and not giving your tax money to the rich.
I also emailed but phone calls are much more effective. A hundred phone calls might get my senators' attention but it might take a thousand emails.
Even though my senators are little toadies for anything Mitch McConnell tells them to do, they need to know they are not following their constituents wishes.
I am making cookies today for everyone who makes a call and/or emails their Senators so let us know if you accomplished this important task. ![]()

to my astonishment, Ron Johnson of Wisconsin is one
of the guys who has said he doesn't support the bill.
The earth is a multibillion-year-old sphere.
The Nazis killed millions of Jews.
On 9/11/01 a Boeing 757 (AA77) flew into the Pentagon.
AGCC is happening.
If you cannot accept these facts, I cannot fake an interest in any of your opinions.
Yea, but like Ted Cruz and his mini-me Mike Lee
He opposes it because it doesn't screw poor people hard enough. Or maybe he's tired of Paul Ryan trying to hump his leg?
In any case, this is madness. Meanwhile out in California, the neoliberal corporate cash got to the House speaker--he didn't kill the measure but he bottled it in committee. Here's a hint: if Republicans are cheering your move, you aren't a progressive.
My Senators are Democrats, which means that they pretend
to be liberal while Republicans control Congress.
I agree that calling can serve some purposes, including making me feel better irrationally. However, I don't think even thousands of calls and emails change a single Senator's vote.
More like today is the day to bribe your senator
Just be sure to be calling it please, "a campaign contribution".
All the cool lobbyists are.
I do not pretend I know what I do not know.
