SS COLA /Medicare deduction

Morning, all

The NY Times has a huge article in the print edition about the coming changes to SS and its benefits.

In Brief, the COLA increase, touted a few months ago as being 10% or more----Sorry. Now looks like 8.7%.

In the Good News column, the Medicare monthly premium will drop by $5.20 to $ 164.90. (Alert readers might recall that this premium was $144.00 until Biden's first year. Now he is hoping the $5.00 reduction will get him votes and cheers. Good luck with that.

I will come back with more info as I wake up a bit more.
