Sessions does not appoint second special counsel to review FBI misconduct claims

Updated 6:49 PM EDT, Thu March 29, 2018CNN) Attorney General Jeff Sessions is not naming a new special counsel to investigate Republican-driven accusations against the FBI -- at least for now.
Instead, Sessions revealed Thursday that Utah's top federal prosecutor, John Huber, is looking into allegations that the FBI abused its powers in surveilling a former Trump campaign adviser, and more should have been done to investigate Hillary Clinton's ties to a Russian nuclear energy agency.
Sessions' decision to stop short of formally appointing a special counsel like Robert Mueller, detailed in a lengthy written response to three Republican chairmen on Capitol Hill, will likely anger those in the GOP who have recently ramped up calls to investigate claims of political bias at the nation's top law enforcement agencies.

The announcement comes one day after the Justice Department's internal watchdog office confirmed it would review how the FBI obtained a warrant to monitor Trump foreign policy aide Carter Page, as well as the bureau's relationship with Christopher Steele, the author of the Trump dossier.

One silver lining to J. Beauregard III’s decision on not expanding the DOJ’s investigation right now is maybe, just maybe they can shut down this RUSSIA! RUSSIA! RUSSIA! noise and show what a bunch of BS it all is. The second special counsel wasn't about Russia
The GOP asked him to form one to look into whether the FBI was naughty when they got the FISA warrant, Hillary's emails and uranium one. This is a legitimate investigation and it's the one that needs to be done, not this fake Russia Gate plot that Hillary created. During the time that the Obama administration was working on the uranium deal there were a lot of people who were under investigation on the Russian side and Mueller's hands are very dirty as well as a lot of other people. What would be funny as hell is that the players who decided to make up Russia Russia .... will be found to have broken a lot of rules and they get taken down. I'll not hold my breath on any punishment, but just getting the truth about the uranium deal would be okay. The Clintons made millions off the deal and it's time for the foundation to be exposed for the sham it is. Rumors are that there is an investigation into it.

The expansion I’m talking about is a ‘Special Counsel’ appointment like Robert Mueller. Sessions said not at this time, he would rather concentrate on the FISA warrants connected to the Page surveillance and the Uranium One deal. There were a number of Repubbies who wanted a Special Prosecutor appointed NOW to look into malfeasance by employees of federal agencies, like the FBI regarding the investigation into her emails. (And a lot of others not connected to the Republican party do too.) BUT Sessions decided to hold back on a Special Prosecutor and to go back to the beginning, the first (known) overt act of fraud committed by TCC, the DNC, the Obama administration, and the FBI. Sessions (little weasel that he is) is right in deciding to hold back on a Special Prosecutor and to go back to the source of all this RUSSIA! mess and investigate the justification used to spy on Page, which is where the real corruption starts. It needs to be established that there was NEVER any truth to the reason used (the Dossier) to justify getting the FISA warrants in the first place. Proving that was based on KNOWINGLY false information and testimony is necessary to establish the major element of the DIMs malfeasance, intent. Without all that they can investigate until Hell freezes over and nothing will happen. If you can’t prove that the warrants were based on lies and deceit, you have nothing to bring any charges on. No underlying criminal act, no basis for an investigation.

The REAL bonus for sane people is that an investigation into the wiretaps of Page, etc., will show that this RUSSIA! ploy of theirs was just a smokescreen to cover up for corruption in the ‘Democratic’ party itself.

This was why the FBI spied on Trump before he won, so did they find the collusion during that time period? No they did not. Why not? Because there wasn't any. Mueller has been investigating this for how long now and he hasn't found anything yet? Then I'd say that he isn't going to be finding anything even if he continues to spend money on it. Sheesh.
Flynn lied. Manafort and Gates laundered money and didn't register as foreign lobbyists and they worked with some Russians. Charge them for the first two and let the country go. This has gone on long enough!

Manafort and Gates laundered money but Flynn may not have lied
M and G were in cahoots with Podestas by 2014 when the laundering occurred. They didn't register as representatives of of foreign powers either. Although those crimes are not germaine to Trump-Russia collusion, they are crimes.
Flynn's lies may not have been lies to the FBI although apparently he didn't tell Pence the truth either. Strzok changed Flynn's 302's per McCabe or perhaps Comey. We don't know if they was a transcript of the Flynn-Strzok interview--probably not, since both Come and McCabe played fast and loose with laws and guidelines. No crime if Flynn lied to Pence, although certainly politically unwise.
Flynn isn't sentenced and the charges may be dropped before Flynn turns the tables on the Feebs with a planned countersuit.

Flynn is charged with lying probably because he couldn't remember exactly what he said and they had him on tape. In the link I gave you the ex FBI agent said that he is owed a huge apology for what has been said about him.
This is an interesting article about the Mueller investigation. It talks about the DNC computers and how VIPS shows that it wasn't hacked because of the transfer rate of the files and how Comey didn't get a warrant to look at the computer even though the whole damn case started with the accusations that Russia hacked it. D'oh! I'd think that people would be asking about this, but no .... the accusation stands.

It would seem to my non-lawyer brain, that failing to provide evidence in a criminal case (USA vs Trump/Russia) is obstruction of justice. If the DNC server still exists, it baffles me why it has never been seized by the Feebs as part of their so-called investigation.

First it wasn't inspected by the FBI and then after they started Russia Gate they still never look at it. If I was going to believe in something that could lead to war, I'd ask myself why they didn't do that.
