Seekers of Smooth Things
This election has radicalized me.
I will cry out against the capitalist system that destroys the lives of working people and the poor.
I will never give in to corporations having complete control over my awareness of reality.
No corporatist of any political party will ever have my vote, and moreover they have won themselves a foe.
Forget the US and its stupid dreams. My ideology is completely at odds with US culture, let alone Democrat or Republican political "parties."
I want humanity to wake up and realize it is destroying everything. I am tired of sharing the bed with those who are asleep.
I want a world where perhaps everything isn't shiny and new, but at least it is just, and moves toward understanding and compassion. I would rather risk being taken advantage of than being told I have to support murder, corruption, liars, thieves, and ignorance. There has to be more than friendly commerce, more than getting along in the marketplace, which is nothing more than obedience to a blind choice with allegiance only to those who have the most money at the end of the market day.
Whether or not your preferred candidate wins, and I think Senator Sanders is nothing more than a pragmatic centrist with a concern for working people, hardly a revolutionary even in spirit, I shall stay out in the cold for the rest of my life if necessary. I shall not go in to the warmth of the seekers of smooth things.
Peace and love to you, reader.

Thanks, Aardvark, that says it so well.

We still have a voice as long as Bernie is around. Im looking forward to racking up victories over the next few weeks, we are be riding high soon again.
here is how the political compass evaluates Bernie
I have to say, it was a reality check for me. Things are so dire, Bernie looked more to the left for me.
I don't want to be a no hope person, but I am afraid that even his brand of moderate sense will be overwhelmed should a miracle happen and he be elected, not that I wouldn't be much happier if he was.
My country terrifies me.
May the dolphins, whales and furry things inherit the world. Humans, unless we do an about face, have just about proven we don't deserve this beautiful planet.
I became radicalized about 2010
as I watched "hope & change" turn into Goldman Sachs SEC appointments and big bank bailouts with no strings and no prosecutions. Between Obama and Occupy Wall Street the curtain was yanked back pretty thoroughly for me. I have not voted for a corporatist Democrat since then (meaning I haven't voted for a Dem).
Bernie, however, gave me a positive way forward by showing that people powered campaigns really can work and my piddling $15-$25 donations really can make a difference. So now I have both a negative and a positive strategy.
A lot of wanderers in the U.S. political desert recognize that all the duopoly has to offer is a choice of mirages. Come, let us trudge towards empty expanse of sand #1, littered with the bleached bones of Deaniacs and Hope and Changers.
