Sanders & Grijalva want ICE private prisons closed
From The Hill:
Sanders, Grijalva ask DHS to close private detention centers
In a Monday letter to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Rep. Raúl Grijalva (D-Ariz.) said the for-profit facilities should be phased out because of their poor track record when it comes to safety, efficiency and basic human rights protections.
Energized by the Justice Department's recent decision to end the agency's use of privately operated facilities, they're asking DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson to follow suit.
"Given the impact on detainees, the high cost to taxpayers and the Department of Justice's recent decision, we believe the Department of Homeland Security can and should immediately begin phasing out for-profit, privately run immigration detention centers," Sanders and Grijalva wrote.

Bernie needs back in
the race. There are damn few voters voting FOR these two asshats. They're mostly voting Against one or the other. Bernie would give voters somebody to vote For. This is the saddest - and sorriest - election in my lifetime. Only Bernie can save it.

is to help make sure the stories get out. To all two hundred of us.

That'd be nice, but he doesn't seem interested. Maybe if
something happens to Hill, but even then he'd probably have to fight for it, they'd probably try to give the nom to Tim Kaine, ugh. He seems terrified of splitting the vote and enabling the Trump Monster.
But it's good to see him active in his role as Senator.

I did an essay on this a couple weeks ago
No, if she's out, I believe Bernie created the circumstances that HE will replace her if it's before Nov. This is why he made sure his votes were recorded at the convention.
I just think he's letting things play out as they do.

I hope you're right. And I hope things play out soon!
I'd like to see the smugness of both candidates wiped off their faces.

I've been saying that
since Bernie bellered it. I said it on the radio the following Sunday night. "While everyone is bemoaning Bernie for nominating Her Highness, that is Not what he did. The brilliant Senator tap danced around the word nominate and the word endorse, and instead used the word select." Or words to that effect. "Her Highness must be furious to the point she even feels the bern!" Something like that.
I don't believe Bernie has ever said "I endorse... , I don't believe he's ever said that. The MSM, I believe, has printed that "Bernie has finally endorsed Her Highness... ," but I don't believe he has ever used the word in reference to Hillary's status. And why would he? She did him no favors. In return, he asked that Her Highness be "selected." Brilliant. Even more brilliant is that it leaves the door open. With time running out he must now open it and walk on through. The time is now, Bernie. You can't wait and hope Hillary slips and falls, mumbles like a babbling idiot from the podium. We're just not that lucky. The time is now. Go grab what's yours.
