Safety in Nature
Is what I depend on, yet is constantly changing. But still I depend on it, hoping and trusting that nature will take care of itself, and at the same time encourage greater care on a social level. Some sense of comfort is a natural yearning and uniquely individual.
Occurrences in nature appear to be continuing on a path of inevitableness, whatever that ultimately will be. I hope as a society we chose ways to help ease the pain, and help prevent further degradation of life. What a test of resilience worldwide. The possibilities to overcome inaccessible to too many. We need to continue to promote, in whatever contexts we live life, the wellbeing of all.
Privilege is relative, and I appreciate the understanding of that, here on this site.
All the best everyone.

Were you affected by the quake?
Let us know if you were. Is this what your essay is about?

Good thing we changed years huh? We had hurricane winds from hades in September that actually worked out okay for me. I’m usually raking leaves all fall till the first snow, but this year I had very little. One way to clear out trees. Heh...I just remembered that Charlie was wearing a cone and had to zig and zag out in the yard till I got it cleared up cuz the cone kept getting stuck.

Yes snoopy,
This morning’s event is what triggered my afternoon’s musings. I, and all in this area of the North Island are safe, and so far are all on the East coast, where the earthquake was activated.
Your consideration is appreciated. Love to Charlie, in memory.
Oh good
Some times I miss the topic and go off on a different one. Glad to hear that you are okay. I’ll look for more info on it tomorrow. I saw something about a volcano in Iceland that might be going off. Bummer. I just thought of Hedges' essay on the upcoming climate fun and games.
Yeah fun memory. I also remember what I said when I first saw the backyard. Last year our yearly small events got a lot bigger what with a more powerful earthquake and the winds that came at the same time as other weather events. Hope it’s not your turn now.

I'll look for Chris Hedge's essay
Cheers to you and Sam!
Do you listen to mother?
Not your mom but your harbinger.
With mother nature as your harbinger, you need to only observe what she's screaming.
The world is changing.
We, all humans, are changing it.
The day will come when mother lays down the law.
As is true now, we will likely ignore it and suffer the penalty.
Teach your children well.

Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
Of course I do
Who better to listen to?

Good to hear no big waves came ashore, I read a headline before sleeping and did not dream. I did not read the news much yet either, thank you. I'd rather hear from you about what is coming here one day, and how do we help one another. I don't mean red cross, you know.
She cracks her back, that is how I feel when the earth moves around here. It feels good when I do it, so why wouldn't tectonic plates feel some popping relief too? I wish I was as solid as a rock, that's it. Say what you need. hugs

Thank you eyo
I don’t really know how we help each other, but I trust that if I continue to practice kindness in some small way with myself and others then it will help create a sense of wellbeing. Maybe it’s also about building solidity, like the rock. I’d like to be solid in the sense of being unwavering in my commitment to be as present as I can with myself and with others.
Your tenderhearted hugs and bright and expressive spirit are very welcome. Bunny too.
Glad the quake was uneventful for you
Shake, rattle, and roll...the planet must go with the natural flow.
Have a good weekend!

Thank you Lookout
I trust things are flowing naturally with you. Enjoy the days.
