The astronomical rise of the private prison industry has coincided with a parallel rise in mass incarceration since the 1980s. To defeat one, we must defeat them both.

This thing could be huge. In L.A. we are occupying the L.A. County Jail on Vignes St. (aka Twin Towers) from 11:00 - 6:00 p.m.

From 11 - 3:00 there will be lectures/discussions/personal testimony. From 3 - 6:00 there will be Interfaith Prayers and talking moral truth to power.

I have to leave at 5:00 because I am making a sub-committee report at LACAN on our "Broken Promises Campaign" against Mayor Garcetti.
