Police preparing for increased rioting in the next few years

"Tyranny is defined as that which is legal for the government but illegal for the citizenry." - Thomas Jefferson.

Antimedia is reporting that police worldwide are quietly preparing for increased rioting.

Countries such as the U.S., Iran, Egypt, Russia, China, and Thailand have started procuring riot control equipment and are investing heavily in [non-lethal weapons]. Moreover, special vehicles that are equipped with water cannon and reservoirs have been designed for security personnel, for use in areas of conflict to handle large crowds and demonstration. Demand for such equipment is expected to rise during the next few years.

Note the last sentence in its truncated time frame.

Specifically, the analysts continue:

“In North America, the prominent markets are Canada and the U.S. and law enforcement agencies in these nations are best equipped with the upgraded weapons. The militarization of the police department and other law enforcement agencies in the Americas has encouraged the use of advanced riot control equipment.

The Supreme Court commits treason in their ruling on Citizen United, as they did before when they gave corporations personhood, as they did before when they ruled money is speech. Meanwhile, the 1% is arming their enforcers to the hilt to deny us our constitutionally guaranteed free speech. Face it people, the Constitution is no longer worth the paper it is written on.

This is becoming war. And the stakes couldn't be higher:

Rolling Stone:

If emissions aren't cut, "We conclude that multi-meter sea-level rise would become practically unavoidable. Social disruption and economic consequences of such large sea-level rise could be devastating. It is not difficult to imagine that conflicts arising from forced migrations and economic collapse might make the planet ungovernable, threatening the fabric of civilization."

The National Wildlife Federation:

New science published after the IPCC report has shown how global warming is happening faster than anticipated. Sea-level rise may be accelerating, Arctic sea ice is rapidly melting, and forests are being transformed.

Sea-level Rise Rates Larger Than Previously Projected

Sea-level rise as a consequence of global warming is a foregone conclusion. It only remains to be seen how much and how quickly. The 2007 IPCC report projected global average sea-level rise of 7 to 23 inches by the 2090s. This calculation did not take into account compelling new evidence of recent rapid melting in Greenland and Antarctica, that if continued could lead to sea-level rise of 5 or 6 feet this century (Read New Science Demonstrates Need for Aggressive Cap on Carbon Pollution ). That much sea-level rise would cause havoc for coastal communities and ecosystems, especially as population and development in coastal regions continue to grow.

The Guardian:

Climate change projections have vastly underestimated the role that clouds play, meaning future warming could be far worse than is currently projected, according to new research.

Researchers said that a doubling of carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere compared with pre-industrial times could result in a global temperature increase of up to 5.3C – far warmer than the 4.6C older models predict.

And now we learn that:

“I have cried. I have broken down in front of cameras. This is the most devastating, gut-wrenching fuck up,” says Marshall, of the University of Queensland.

Back in November, researchers and staff on the Australian Museum’s Lizard Island Research Station started to see the early signs of coral bleaching – faded colours, odd fluorescent hues and chunks of white.

The Great Barrier Reef, of which Loomis is just one of 3,000 reefs, is in the death throes of its worst ever coral bleaching event – part of the third global mass bleaching since 1998.

And are the 1%ers doing anything to prevent this disaster? You know, like making cars that are more environmentally friendly as I pointed out some high school kids could do 8 years ago? No, with the extinction of the human race at stake, they're getting ready to pull their typical nazi thuggery.

All of which begs the question:

What they can do to us, we can do to them. Anything else is simply tyranny. Because in the end, you have a choice: Get in the train and go to the ovens or fight back.

Is annoying because I actually can breathe for the most part in CS gas, which I discovered in Boot Camp. (Seriously! Had to fake the hack in order to avoid doing calisthenics in the gas chamber)

So, bring your whole milk to the protests.

Just once I'd like to see the cops take the side of the protestors. Especially in a peaceful demonstration. Cops ain't rich, and they have as much reason to be out there as we do sometimes...

I do not pretend I know what I do not know.

This goes directly into the "man I wish I was wrong" category, but I've been saying that things are going to need to get worse before they get better. Too many are simply too blissfully unaware of what's actually going on. But as the 1% impoverishes us all, things are going to get worse. Looks like the 1% agrees with me.

A lot of wanderers in the U.S. political desert recognize that all the duopoly has to offer is a choice of mirages. Come, let us trudge towards empty expanse of sand #1, littered with the bleached bones of Deaniacs and Hope and Changers.

is no longer available. It's all Ammonium Sulfite now.

I would recommend reading up on The Troubles. The Bogside riots that broke the police (RUC) in 1969. Mortar attacks on #10 Downing street & Heathrow, truck bombs of financial district of London.

There are also plenty of documentaries on youtube detailing the Dirty War and its consequences to the innocent. It would also be worth watching "White Terror" on youtube about the Kenyan campaign in the 50s.

Then after all that you realise that if we get to the point where knowing these things is useful, then we have already lost.

What you pointed out is past failure. It won't be possible in the TIA age. A change of tactics is in order.

1. the elite are readying for serious unrest - removing nitrate, militarising the police, fusion centers aka police state.
2. by the time you need to start thinking about tactics like the ones above you are just negotiating about the depths of the loss. There is no victory, just survivors.

pessimistic outlook. Given the right tactics and the will to employ them, we can end the 1%.

I've spent the last 10 years reading up on revolutions throughout the world in the last couple of hundred years. Growing up in Ireland I was already intimately familiar with the detailed history of rebellions, revolutions and risings in Ireland and UK.

It's not inspiring reading. Once blood is shed you lose control of events. Nationalists in Northern Ireland had legitimate grievances against the state. But by 1972 all of those grievances had been addressed. But Bloody Sunday in Derry, Internment week in Ballymurphy and that made 1972 the worst year of violence and that was that for another 25 years.

You can't beat Team Violence with more violence, that just means you've joined Team Violence.

I think the best path to victory is ratcheting society further along the ladder of reason.

It is because, in our consumerist society, there is no button for "revolution" on the remote control wand. The majority will only be angry enough when what they do have is cut off, taken, seized and or they locked up facing the oppression alone.

I don't know which I have less respect for, cops or democrats...

Pentagon has given our local cops way too many free toys to terrorize us with. Fuck them all. Ballots don't work so maybe more people will join us in the streets.
