OK, What’s Up with the AFP?

My husband received a mailer today from Americans for Prosperity. You know the roots of the Tea
Party founded by Charles H. and David Koch. That Americans for Prosperity.

So much imagine my surprise when I read the mailer. It begins:

TAX LOOPHOLES ARE LIKE ZOMBIES . . .
THEY JUST WON’T DIE

It goes on to say:

62% of Americans believe the economy is rigged—and they’re right!

There is a superscript “1” after this second quote but no indication what it refers to. Next comes the meat of the mailer:

* Special interests get billions of dollars in special handouts called “tax extenders”

* Tax extenders expired in 2017, but special interests are trying to bring them back from the dead

Further down it says that it’s paid for by Americans for Prosperity. You know, the shambling zombie created by the Kochs. It then urges that we contact our US Congressional Representative, Drew Ferguson to get him to “unrig the economy.” A url called UnrigTheEconomy.com is provided.

I can’t help but wonder how such big economy-riggers as the Kochs want us to help us to help unrig it. There’s something fishy going on, but I can’t figure out what it is. The mailer certainly sounds progressive, which people are more and more attracted to. But the Kochs are anything but. What are they up to. Are they poaching Republicans who might be inclined to support Bernie Sanders.

So I’m open to suggestions. What do you think?

  • Making it so kids won't have to be hyper-competitive the moment they leave the womb.
  • Institute a real Single Payer system that expands Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Reducing the military budget by 90 percent, ending all US imperialism, closing all overseas bases and rebuilding crumbling infrastructure here
  • Give the corporate death penalty to any large company that refuses to pay a living wage or provide adequate hours and subsidize smaller businesses that need help with it
  • confiscating any wealth above 50 million dollars possessed by individuals or families, including from any offshore accounts because as Eisenhower said, no one needs a billion dollars

I'm sure I'm just scratching the surface.

Modern education is little more than toeing the line for the capitalist pigs.

Guerrilla Liberalism won't liberate the US or the world from the iron fist of capital.

do seem to be interested in accruing more and more power for themselves. They have endowed chairs at universities to push their view of things. So how come they say they want to “unrig” the economy?

I read somewhere a few weeks ago that they would be spending on Dems this election season. They probable believe that Dems will come into power in 2020.

Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.

Something that's good for working people, I'm sure.

I've seen lots of changes. What doesn't change is people. Same old hairless apes.
