Nothing Will Fundamentally Change?

ON JUNE 18TH, 2019, AT A HIGH-END CAMPAIGN FUNDRAISER ON MANHATTAN'S UPPER EAST SIDE, JOE BIDEN TRIED TO WIN OVER WEALTHY DONORS AND TOP BANKERS BY ASSURING THEM THAT "NOTHING WOULD FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGE" UNDER A BIDEN PRESIDENCY. HE WAS REINFORCING THAT HE'S THE MODERATE, STATUS QUO CANDIDATE THAT WOULD NOT ROCK THE BOAT OR CHALLENGE THE POWER OF THE 1% WHILE IN THE WHITE HOUSE.

NOTHING WOULD FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGE!

Episode 113: I'm Voting For Joe Biden Because I Don't Believe Him

Michael Moore unravels the fallacy of Biden's thinking and shares his ideas for why everyone must stay involved in the fight for this election and beyond. First of all, EVERYTHING has fundamentally changed. The pandemic has exposed the cruel and unsustainable economic, health care and political systems in America. Nothing will ever be the same again. And the police murder of George Floyd has once again exposed racial inequality and plight of Black Americans, and has sparked a rebellion that is the largest protest movement in American history. There is no turning back.
Biden and Harris will be inheriting a failed state on January 20, 2021, and milquetoast, moderate half-measures will not come nearly close to meeting the demands of the people and the demands of the moment. With a failing economy, a failing healthcare system, the political winds shifting left, and a strong and growing Squad in Congress, Biden and Harris can be forced to make bigger, bolder and more progressive changes than they were planning. History, political reality, emergencies and the fired up and organized political left can be and must be a force in this election and on the day Biden/Harris are sworn in.

For anyone despairing, depressed, or pessimistic about the future of the country, about the fact that Trump is President, or that we are being asked to settle for Biden as our only way forward, this episode is for you.

who are supporting Biden. Everyone of them should be appalled that the people who sent the country into the Middle East fiasco are now endorsing Biden. That is on top of all the ex military and CIA dems that have been flooding into the DP, but no because they are inflecting their own interpretations on what it means. What it means as Saagar said is that the whole cast of the George W Bush cast has signed on to supporting Biden over Trump. Many articles are saying this election is between foreign policy factions. Many neocons are upset that Trump hasn't started any new wars and that Maduro is still in power in Venezuela and Iran hasn't been flattened by our military yet.

You damn idiots are cheering to a return to disastrous wars where lots of brown people get killed by our bombs. Including 40 people from a wedding party that were killed last week in Afghanistan. (?) What does is mean when people are cheering for the people that they despised just a decade previously?

And how is it that they don't know that Biden has brought all the financial hawks from the Clinton and Obama administrations to run his domestic policies? Why would they be okay with that? They are still in the mindset that democrats are the party that helps people when they haven't been that party since Reagan and even more so after Clinton sold the DP to the Koch brothers who funded the TEA party. Idiots. And don't even think of criticizing Pelosi and Schumer for selling us out to the business owners and insisting that kids return to school so that their parents who are the Capital Stock for big business can go back to work. After all Pelosi has sent 400 bills to McConnell who has let them die in the senate. Funny though that they haven't figured out that Pelosi only passes 'progressive' bills when there is no chance of them being passed. Would have been nice if she had sent 400 bills to the senate when the dems were in the majority and Obama in the WH. More kabuki ass theater that rubes keep buying over priced tickets for.

Meanwhile they make fun of Trump's supporters on a daily basis. Hey folks, might want to remove that log from your eyes before you criticize others. Just a thought.

How many of those republicans are going to be in Biden's cabinet. This goes well with the vid gjohnsit posted.

They aren't doing this to just support Biden, but Krystal says that they are the people that Biden will work to please. AND NOTHING WILL CHANGE just like last time democrats inherited a failed economy.

Which AIPAC/MIC/pharma/bank bought politician are you going to vote for? Don’t be surprised when nothing changes.

@snoopydawg

I didn't finish my thoughts. How is it that the DNC and RNC are telling us that it's too dangerous to hold their conventions with the public because of COVID and yet they are insisting that we send people back to school and work? SMH.

But some good news:

'Victory for Students and Educators': Judge Blocks Florida School Reopening Order

"Judge Dodson saw Florida's unconstitutional executive order for what it was—a cynical edict that put fealty to President Trump over the wellbeing of children and educators."

Judge Charles Dodson of Leon County Circuit Court wrote in his ruling that the "Florida constitution requires the state to ensure our schools operate safely. Defendants, however, through the order and its application, have essentially ignored the requirement of school safety by requiring the statewide opening of brick-and-mortar schools to receive already allocated funding."

"Because defendants cannot constitutionally directly force schools statewide to reopen without regard to safety during a global pandemic, they cannot do it indirectly by threatening loss of funding through the order," wrote Dodson, adding that "what has been clearly established is... opening schools will most likely increase Covid-19 cases in Florida."

Or "Forward Into the Past" which used to be an SCA(Society for Creative Anachronism) slogan.

"Practice Safe Government -- Use Kingdoms!" is beginning to look really nice right about now, too!

@Shahryar I wrote something like that in response to someone saying don't watch the RNC debate last night on facebook.

I wrote back that that was last week. This week is the Qanon debate. Then asked when the Democratic debate was going to happen.

@Shahryar The Russiagate Republicans (D) vs. the QAnon Republicans (R). I’m rooting for the giant asteroid personally.

Idolizing a politician is like believing the stripper really likes you.

I don’t need to replay the hits, but we have decades of Biden being on the wrong side of every issue and recently doubling down on everything. We all see who he’s surrounding himself with and we know their history too. Expecting anything different from this lot is flat out stupidity.

Michael Moore should know better by now. I respect what he’s done but he is a perfect example of someone who can’t accept that the Dems are not the good guys. He just won’t believe his own lying eyes no matter how many times he’s seeing the same thing.

I’ll admit, I haven’t listened to this podcast yet but he should go back and listen to his own show where he figured Elizabeth Warren out. So much of that was him kicking himself for choosing to ignore all the signs when he saw them. Well buddy, you’re doing it again. His reaction to Kamala as VP was straight up delusional. And if he really thinks a Biden administration will anything better than what Biden is promising, he needs to stop drinking that Flint water because he’s rotting his brain.
