A new video from a Sanders supporter and other good stuff

I just ran into this one and had not seen it before. Please share it where you can.

“We can be a nation, where everyone, no matter their race, their religion, their disability or their sexual orientation, realizes the full promise of equality that is our birthright as Americans,”

--Sen. Bernie Sanders

While the following is an opinion piece rather than a news article, it is one of the more upbeat stories around on Sanders, especially as it is posted at CNN: Bernie Sanders is this year's biggest story

And in that sense, Bernie Sanders isn't going away. Neither is his message. Or his voters.
Not in this primary. Not in the general election. And not in the foreseeable future of American politics.

And a positive blog post from Reuters: Bernie Sanders has Hillary Clinton right where he wants her

After all, he still has a chance to win the nomination. Sanders just swept through the West, winning five of six contests by stunning margins. In addition, he isn’t just a candidate — he’s a cause.

Another excellent blog piece, including lots of cool data, can be found here: Hard Proof That Hillary Clinton Has Been Losing to Bernie Sanders for a Month Now

The point here is that Hillary Clinton has been losing the primary for a month now in votes cast after the race began to favor Sanders on March 5th. This means that most of the projections the media is making about how Bernie Sanders will do going forward are based on election results, exit polls, and voter surveys compiled before that critical March 5th date.

Finally, please vote in the poll for the 2016 Time's Most Influential People issue. Sanders is currently ahead with 4.2% of the vote. HRC is at 0.9%

and his message is changing him from an establishment (albeit a good guy) politician into something else: a leader outside of the corrupted core of the system.

Sanders is NOT the same man who started this a year ago. this has changed him for the better.

I saw Sanders initially as a savvy person with the right background who sensed the American malaise with the System and entered as a protest candidate. Wonderful. But his message resonated with more than he expected. He started off wanting to be a primary challenger and could still emerge as the next POTUS. Surprise! He has become the center of a movement that will go on and increase even if he does not prevail. Feel the Bird.

I have watched a number of his videos from 1985 on and he has always been humane and warm and intense. Has he changed? To some degree, yes. Not in his core values but in opening his heart ever wider.

but for sure, this campaign, the reaction of people to the VISION (not the message) has (imo) altered him. i think he realizes he must operate outside the confines of the system and when people ask me: how's he gonna do all his? i say: with our help.

if we can get him elected, it will be an extraordinary time for us and being asked to re engage in society at large to make things better and learning that doesn't mean MORE.

Bernie is deep into the campaign. He's not flying commercial anymore. It is balls to the wall now, but his core remains intact. What excites me is the opportunity

it will be an extraordinary time for us and being asked to re engage in society at large to make things better and learning that doesn't mean MORE.

I thought that knock on the door would come with Obama. It never did. I am hopeful Bernie will come knocking. Wink

I will also share it to FB and Twitter. Thank you TomP and Karma for rec'ng it at TOP. It is a message from Bernie that everyone should hear. If they did, they'd never vote for Hillary or Trump.

I thank you for for sharing it and posting it at TOP as I won't go there. I think it is an important one to see as it puts a lot of things in context.

I wish there was a way to coordinate getting this out to people in the remaining states. From what I am reading, a great deal of HC's votes are coming from early voting before people get to hear Sanders. One of the articles above (I think the last one) points this out more clearly. I think if people could see things like this video early on, there would be a major shift in that early voting.

This video is great. There is another recent one built on his speeches, someone posted it on c99 yesterday? (I think the post is called 30 years of consistency) but it is over 8 min...also very moving. I enjoyed them both.
