It's about time someone comes out and says our food INDUSTRY is trying to kill people. Don't believe me? Read an ingredient listing and tell me wtf half that crap is without a science degree or being a nerd on food. And the explanation for that crap is texture or consistency or appearance ffs! Not nutrition, not Health benefits. . . Appearance, consistency, texture.
Or my favorite, preservatives! Keeps the food from spoiling, keeps your body from uptaking the nutrients.
Still don't believe me? Check your shit. No really, check it! We monitor everything Else about our body, but not what runs through it.
I have another one for you; hydration. A couple of studies(?) I read a decade or so ago found that fully sixty five percent of amerikans were dehydrated or under hydrated. Think about that for a minute.
If your body doesn't have enough fluid(water) available, it either cannot process whatever you eat thoroughly or sometimes at all. Again, check your stool if you don't believe me.

@Tall Bald and Ugly Most of the stuff is denatured protein which is another name for free glutamate. The FDA approved the stuff because it isn't MSG. THe stuff is even allowed in "organic" food. It's another scam. The shit is bad for you. Carrageaneen is one of those hidden free glutamate compounds.

If it doesn't have a wrapper or container it's probably fine. Except meat which is wrapped but is fine. If it has a wrapper or container/box of some sort there can only be one ingredient on the ingredients list. If it has more, then you need to make a decision. Example: the whole milk in my refrigerator has Milk, vitamin D3. I give that a thumbs up

I reduced carbs, sugar, and started walking 45 minutes or 2+ miles per day and dropped 20 lbs in 20 roughly 20 weeks. All things in moderation except all the chemistry they use on our food. That can all go.

Limit saturated fat and trans fat and replace them with the better fats, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated. If you need to lower your blood cholesterol, reduce saturated fat to no more than 5 to 6 percent of total calories. For someone eating 2,000 calories a day, that’s about 13 grams of saturated fat.

This diet is harmful. A healthy diet should have more fat calories than carbohydrate calories, regardless of carb source, especially low fiber processed grains like wheat and rice. Colored vegetables are best. Many fruits contain fructose, which is metabolized more slowly than glucose, but still raises plasma insulin levels promoting overeating. If you have to make a choice, choose glucose over fructose--but best is to lower all carbs.

My family never really substituted margarine for butter except in limited circumstances and then only with Smart Balance because I believed their reasoning about trans fats and mono saturates, but butter always ruled. Now I'm glad. Time Magazine had a Butter on one of their covers and I felt so vindicated. Two things we rarely if ever eat/ate or drank - margarine and soda, diet or other. Plus we rarely if ever ate processed foods, and mostly actually cooked raw ingredients. Not from any attempt at conscious purity, we both just liked to cook.

For instance, instead of blocking your arteries with cholesterol, eggs actually have a good kind of cholesterol that you need. The yolk has to be runny though. Raw eggs are apparently a superfood.

And fasting is good because we evolved in an environment of food scarcity and we burned our fat to live instead of just accumulating it?
