Movement4Bernie organizing a series of forums, Jill Stein to speak

Jill Stein and Seattle City Councilmember Kshama Sawant will speak at these forums, to be held nationwide. The question they will address is: Do we fall in line behind Clinton’s corporate campaign, or do we continue the political revolution and build a new party for the 99%?

Help us mobilize as many as possible to the major protests planned for the Democratic National Convention! The corruption of our democracy by both major parties is clear to millions, and the DNC protests will be the center of the growing debate over whether we should we fight to transform the Democratic Party or build a fighting political alternative independent of corporations and Wall Street Super PACS.

If they make it contingent on being a Zuckerberg pawn, that will leave me out. I refuse to have anything to do with that corporate octopus.

Worth taking a look at.

I've never understood why Bernie folks thought it was a good idea to organize on FB, esp after Hillary trolls effectively used FB as a way to sabotage their pages.

I assume we will hear of discussions at various venues of the Way Forward.

And Tak, I am on FB, not a Friend of that too rich-too young Z-boy, but a member of The Clinton Email Scandal Timeline group. There are over 580 members who glean any news, RW mostly, because, you know... We are collating it all, doing citizen journalism and research again because. Talk about Vampire Squid!

Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.

it's that Zuck is not trustworthy, and it's his site--so it's not necessarily a good place to organize against the very forces Zuck works for. That's all. But what he has that makes people use his site anyway--even me sometimes--is that everybody goes there. Once you have 590 people on FB doing work like you describe, you can't move to another, better, place, or you'll lose a large percentage of your participants. If you are someone who cares about, well, for example, emailgate, you're probably gonna go to FB if 590 people are on there organizing. Once an operation is in gear, getting it off of FB becomes very difficult.

But remember that Bernie folks were subject to some extremely ugly attacks on FB, and given Zuckerberg's service to the Deep State

And "charity" like this:

It really would be better to organize somewhere else, just about anywhere else probably. And no, I'm not saying everybody has to come to caucus99--I'm saying Zuck is a bad guy, and camping out on his land might be a bad move. Any new ventures by folk of good will should consider other digs.
