Lying By Omission About Bernie Sanders
"We think that our constituents, our members, will not necessarily think of Sanders as the best choice. We wouldn’t have the Violence Against Women Act if it wasn’t for Biden’s leadership," NOW President Toni Van Pelt continued. "Sanders doesn’t have a record. He’s really, as far as we know, done next to nothing for women and for our issues."

If you ignore Bernie's actual record, I suppose that conclusion makes perfect sense. After all, just taking the two year period 2013-2014 as reported by Vote Smart, Bernie co-sponsored only the following pieces of legislation:
- Protect Women's Health From Corporate Interference Act of 2014 - Co-sponsor
- Paycheck Fairness Act - Co-sponsor
- Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013 - Co-sponsor
Obviously, Bernie's support for Women's Issues is weak. In fact, compared to Sen. Amy Klobuchar and the iconic Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Bernie merely co-sponsored all of the exact same legislation as did Kobuchar and Warren. How dreadful!!
Therefore, there's only one possible conclusion. As far as we know, President Toni Van Pelt of the National Organization for Women is a bald-faced liar and should be ashamed of herself.

NOW sold out to the DLC/DNC long ago
and are coasting on a fading reputation.
There is no justice. There can be no peace.
They will be boosting Biden
as much as possible. The msm in all in - get used to it. They will have more negative articles on Bernie than we've ever seen and more positive ones for Joementia. They MUST convince us to go for Joementia. It's going to get worse and worse before the next primary - Tuesday, March 10. Get ready for the barrage.

Reminds me of when a civil rights activist asked
"Where was Bernie" during the civil rights movement, when the TV screen showed a picture with Bernie on a picket line protesting for civil rights more than 40 years ago.
Yeah. That was Rep. John Lewis. When OccupyATL
turned him away, I thought it was a shame considering what he went through during the civil rights protests. But when Lewis said that Bernie wasn’t there, I felt ashamed for him. He now has a vested interest in the establishment/status quo.

And not only that....
He said he didn't see Bernie back then but did see Hillary, fighting for civil rights....when she was a Goldwater Girl.
Yep. That set my hair on fire!

The ruling classes need an extra party to make the rest of us feel as if we participate in democracy. That's what the Democrats are for. They make the US more durable than the Soviet Union was.
Sniff, sniff
For those of you wondering where, exactly, NOW’s relationship
to The Establishment is, we have finally arrived at “Anita-Hill-Shlamita-Dill.”
Omitted more than that --
it's a rare day in 2020 when an incidence of violence against a woman doesn't make the news and most incidents don't make the news and more go unreported. Good intentions, even when codified into law, aren't sufficient.
NOW only highlighted the 1994 (Hatch and Biden) bill, but not updates:
5- 4. Let's see who one of that five was. Oh, the unqualified man that Biden didn't bother to lead a successful rejection of his nomination on both qualifications and sexual harassment. The great Thurgold Marshall's seat that was handed to a rightwing, sexist, bigot for now reason other than the color of his skin.
Women stay in abusive relationships for many reasons, but a big one is financial. How many women have been further impoverished by Biden's 2005 bankruptcy bill and even less financially able to leave an abusive relationship?
I find myself harping
And I will just say, the Democrats are helping to create more hatred of that whole pink pussy hat brigade one hell of a lot better than Repugnants ever thought of doing. I am sick to death of their "liberal" blather while helping real women is merely an afterthought out of them at BEST. If they want misogynists they're surely helping to create them with their utterly fake posturing. Sickening.

Yes,
but there was only a brief period of time when the second wave of feminism crossed over to include working class women and women of color and shed a bit of its white liberal elitism.
Barbara Ehrenreich is one of the few from that time period that was an authentic feminist and aging hasn't changed her. She gets that just as an AA president didn't fundamentally change anything for the AA community, a woman president won't change anything for women. Of course the right AA and right woman could help transform this country, but voters want celebrities. (You won't ever see her telling women to vote for an anti-working class, pro-war woman (who didn't even claw her way up the ladder on her own but on the back of a man).
