I can't help feeling that this event marks a "make it or break it" point for us, collectively. We've been approaching that point for a while, and here we are. As Caitlin Johnstone keeps saying, humanity must now either "evolve or die". I don't believe that's just a metaphorical statement.

Look at what we've become...
We all know this was done at the behest of the US CIA as retribution for Vault 7 etc.
It is a sad day for the world when we arrest truth telling journalist for telling the truth.

How far the New York Times has fallen from the days when it published the Pentagon Papers leaked by Daniel Ellsberg. The Gray Lady ain't just gray nowadays. She's a moldering corpse, rotting away.
The employees of CNN and MSNBC long ago abandoned any pretense of being real journalists. They're just a bunch of pretty-faced, smooth-talking con artists. Many of them seem proud to be that way, which I guess is par for the course for narcissists.

The cartoonists featured at TOP, particularly Tom Tomorrow,
could, theoretically, do some trenchant pieces where they stand up for Julian Assange.
But the safer bet is that they don’t.

He did not look well in the video. he is clutching a book written by Gore Vidal and Paul Jay titled Gore Vidal History of the National Security State. Assange also was heard screaming "you must resist, you must resist" as they were carrying him off to the police wagon.
This is very disturbing. All those who are cheering for the arrest and
prosecutionpersecution of Julian Assange are cheering for their own demise. The first amendment is now officially dead and those who still purport to be journalists will no longer be journalists even if they wanted to be.Do I hear the sound of guillotines being constructed?

The saddest part
was that we had 7 years to do something. What? I don't know. Where were all the other "journalists"? 7 years of negative press and half lies and half truths about him. In that 7 years he lost his influence and aged him. I guess the same could have been said about Nelson Mandela. So maybe this could be a turning point. I just feel heartsick.
