Good morning QMS. I recall once taking a deep dive into

and such and, as near as I could tell, determining that the definitions and remedies had evolved so as to exempt the acts of Nation States as well as their employees and agents from being so classified. I have a hunch that the same has been done with respect to piracy.
Otherwise, it would seem that extortion based on the treat of illegal unilateral "sanctions" would still qualify as piracy even though no guns were drawn or flourished. Forcing you to hand over the goods or another, legally in your possession, should also still qualify. Sadly, nobody will intervene on behalf of the victims of any of the US depredations barring some sort of sea change in international afairs
