Friday Night Photos Visual Acuity edition

Another Friday night. You know the drill. Post whatever you got.

Cover your right eye and read line 5.
Playing around with long exposure and camera motion.

I woke up this morning determined to drink less, eat right, and exercise.
But that was four hours ago when I was younger and full of hope.

@Socialprogressive Is either line 4 or line 5 located in this?

@humphrey
The line 5 comment is in reference to the eye chart you read when having your eyes tested for visual acuity.

Thanks for hosting the photography corner. I enjoy seeing your experiments.

I like the out-of-focus quality and the movement cameras are able to capture.

These three photographers came to mind first ...

Some great shots. The last one looks like fog along a coast line.

That's what I remember it being a representation of when I first saw it long ago, but it could also be fog.

It always enhances my experience of the photograph to know how others experience it.

Great pics SP! They look like when I just look out my left eye since I lost focus with it. Wink

BR yer shot is great too!

Janis your driftwood pix are beautiful. Great take on the one by SP. I agree Janis, for me, when not nature photography, as in say scenics, still life, etc., others perceptions are endlessly fascinating.

I have been in a camera blue funk since mine broke in Aug. and I am unable to do anything about it presently.

Here are some nice shots though...

Thanks for the link. Some really great images there.
Sorry to hear you're without a camera. Check out KEH.com or MPB.com for affordable used camera equipment.

@Socialprogressive thanks for that SP! Will check them out. I am on 'low-line' stuff these days... My broken unit is a Canon Powershot SX40 I bought on Ebay from a camera store in New Jersey as a demo for $200. Add extra battery and bigger chip. Took 10,000 images with it. The quirky auto-focus sucked to the max if trying to shoot a bird in a tangle of bushes and trees. But otherwise it was very good I would say for the nature docu-shot type of work I mostly do. Didn't want the SX50 or up as it all has wifi which I don't want/use. Sure, would love a 5,10, or 20K rig, but not to haul it around.

Thank you for the link to those great bird photos. It's hard to chose a favourite.

Apparently momma is carrying two babes over the water?
Thanks to all here. Great shots!

@peachcreek Thanks peach! That is a great shot isn't it? All those babies hidden under their wings! No wonder they can walk on lily pads with those toes. We have a Northern Jacana that just barely gets into the U.S., and not even every year. Mostly in southmost Texas, very very rarely to AZ, they are common in Mexico and southward. But one spent much of the last year at a bridge in Tucson right in town!

Make your own eye drops using distilled water and 1% l-carnosine by weight. This is very affordable done like this as 1% carnosine in a typical 15 ml eye drop bottle is basically a match head of carnosine. and does wonders for your vision. Commercial n-acetyl carnosine is prohibitively expensive. (Because its patented although it should not be as its nothing new)

You can also prevent vision loss with antioxidants like NAC. NAC also will prevent hearing loss with age (presbyacusis)

Your taxes paid for this military research. Use what they discovered!
