to boot. The article says he's a possible presidential candidate? Well, whatever, we've already proven we'll go to the bottom of the barrel for that.

One thing about the article relative to conservatives complaining about the democrats going after power. These are largely people who support Trump, who is as power hungry as they get. Geesh, it never ends.

though I don't know which side is the brighter one. Get murdered and killed by a bullet or get murdered and killed by radiaion. I think the former is faster, the latter is more painful.

Good morning, from the other side of your side (of the world, if you are in the US), I had some high blood pressure even without getting stuffed with turkey.

until you posted it, and I find it disturbing for a lot of reasons. Swalwell is one of the most fervent Russiagate extremists claiming the release of evidence of serious crime in the DNC emails was an act of war by Russia. I don't believe there is any evidence of Russian having hacked or released the DNC emails, but if they had, I think the American people should have been thankful for the information. All that said, Swalwell is one of the Congressional voices for war with Russia, as far as I can understand what he says. He may think he's only advocating targeted sanctions against businessmen in competition with his clients. But using words like "nukes" in response to words like "war" on the part of gun owners tells me Swalwell either doesn't know what a nuke is, doesn't know what a war is, or is truly using these words to evoke fear of whatever force he thinks he's in possession of against any resistance on the part of the American, Russian, Polish or any other people.

So even if Swalwell was being sarcastic, as he now says, he was joking around in the context of his own part in the creation of hysteria for nuclear war. Does he understand what he's joking about or hysterical about, from moment to moment?

Dreams of ‘Winning’ Nuclear War on Russia
March 10, 2017

Exclusive: Official Washington’s anti-Russian hysteria has distorted U.S. politics while also escalating risks of a nuclear war as U.S. war planners dream of “winning” a first-strike attack on Russia..
By Jonathan Marshall

… Reflecting this harsh new environment, the Pentagon’s influential Defense Science Board in December advised the new administration to begin acquiring low-yielding nuclear weapons to give the United States more options for waging “limited” wars against other nuclear powers. The assumption behind such hotly contested advice is that enemies will back down, knowing the United States could fight and win an unlimited nuclear war with “acceptable” casualties.

Projected US Casualties and Destruction of US Medical Services From Attacks by Russian Nuclear Forces
Ira Helfand, MD; Lachlan Forrow, MD;
Michael McCally, MD, PhD; Robert K. Musil, MPH, PhD

The number of direct, short term casualties and collateral damage to US medical services were calculated for two thermonuclear attack scenarios: 1) 2,000 Russian warheads believed to be on high alert status today; and 2) a future Russian force of 500 warheads targeted in response to the deployment of a US National Missile Defense (NMD) system. The first scenario would cause 52 million prompt fatalities, 9 million injuries, and massive destruction of US health facilities. The second scenario produces more than 100 million casualties. Even with an effective US NMD system—defined as capable of successfully intercepting more than 100 warheads—nearly 70 million fatalities would occur. M&GS 2002;7:68-76…

... claiming that a dedicated rebellion fought with small arms can't possibly stand up to a modern army with NOOKS. Because Afghanistan isn't still going on to this day.
