The Dose 3-13-22

TheDose.jpg
A column for all things COVID

I've never asked others to think as I do. I present the evidence I've used to reach my conclusions and let others come to their own. When others insist I'm wrong, I've bent over backwards to say "look let's just agree we disagree"...but even that message fails with some. The so called group think at the dose is because for the last year or two many of us have used a variety of sources to come to similar conclusions. They have generally proven to be correct. We now understand the vaccines have had many more adverse events than we were allowed to know. That SARS-CoV-2 likely originated in a lab. And finally my pet peeve, early treatments work. There is still disagreement about those treatments here among a few. The confusion stems (IMO) from the propaganda power of big pharma.

Phil Harper, Documentary producer and author of The Digger substack joined Dr. Pierre Kory to discuss the outcome of Andrew Hill's paper on ivermectin. Who and/or what influenced Andrew to change the conclusion of his paper and why? Phil has been 'digging' into this issue looking to find answers. Watch the webinar to find out.

Phil also spoke with Pierre about his experience treating patients during the pandemic, and what those experiences mean for the state of the medical industry.

As Bill Gates said...
“Sadly, the virus itself, particularly the variant called omicron, is a type of vaccine, that is, it creates both B-cell and T-cell immunity, and it’s done a better job getting out to the world population than we have with vaccines,” he lamented.

This variant has created a stumbling block in their plan. It is difficult to create big fear about a disease with cold like symptoms.

U.S. COVID Cases, Deaths and Hospitalizations Continue to Decline

Pandemic trends resemble lows not seen since summer, when COVID-19 in the United States hit record lows.
“The United States continues to experience declines by every major metric,” Pond said. “Worldwide, however, we’re seeing a stall in the decline of cases — and some increases across Europe, East Asia, and sub-Saharan Africa.”

Following weeks of sustained declines, international cases appear to have plateaued at 11.3 million, up slightly from the previous week, Pond added.

The nations reporting the largest past-month totals of new cases were: Germany, South Korea, Russia, Vietnam, and Brazil. The United States is now ranked sixth in current case volume, after leading the world for most of the pandemic, Pond said.

Informal C99 poll...
Is the pandemic over?

Is the daily Dose column still needed?

I'll add my two cents after your opinions are evident.

The war in Ukraine has dethroned COVID as the topic du jour.

I’m reading reports of the new stealth variant of omicron in Hong Kong and Germany and cases and deaths are increasing again. Apparently it’s infecting people who have been jabbed and who got omicron 1 alike.

As to numbers going down here it’s because the CDC has told hospitals that they don’t have to report numbers anymore. Easiest way to end a pandemic. Quit reporting on it. Vo-la it’s gone. Utah has closed most of its testing centers and people who test at home don’t report their positive results. So cases are in the low 100's but deaths are higher than ever. But they are in the 64-85 age group which is the highest for people being jabbed. Lots of deaths happened at home or care centers so I question whether those are deaths for people who only tested positive but weren’t actually sick. As for our over a million dead reported I’m betting that 70% were with Covid and not from it. This is what other countries are reporting after they look at what actually happened. Fear and propaganda get people to not ask important questions and it’s why the PTB went with it. My 2 cents.

I wonder how many deaths are vaccine related, but counted as COVID based on CB's link on military data...
Military MED Data Leaked! Biden Regime Knowingly Continues Destruction of Force
https://rumble.com/vtexdr-military-med-data-leaked-biden-regime-knowingl...
Tons of government data screens and absolutely horrid medical statistics on multi-fold increases in everything from cancer to HIV in service members. Also, proof that FDA approval was only one day - began and ended 8/23/21.

Ever since I discovered deaths were higher in 2021 than 2020 after the start of the vaccination program I've been suspicious.
NZ is another interesting example...

New Zealand is a fascinating real-world experiment on vaccine safety. After locking themselves out from the rest of the world and thereby strictly eliminating Covid as a variable, they went about with a mass vaccination campaign. What did we learn?

Well, not very unexpectedly they had a surge in all-cause mortality in the 60+ cohort that almost perfectly correlates with vaccine delivery intensity. More jabs = more deaths and fewer jabs = fewer deaths. It deserves to be looked into more carefully, but responses from New Zealand’s health authorities indicates that maybe they don’t have any such interest. No surprise there.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVxmAIKjYM4

As is Scotland...

Question– Why is mortality in Scotland higher in 2021 than 2020?

Answer– Because more people are dying. And the reason more people are dying is because more people have been vaccinated. In other words, there’s a link between rising mortality and the Covid-19 vaccine.

Question– You can’t prove that.

Answer– You’re right, I can’t. The evidence is all circumstantial. But it is compelling, all the same. For example, rising mortality isn’t just happening in Scotland. It’s happening in many of the countries that launched mass vaccination campaigns earlier in the year. They’re all seeing a significant uptick in all-cause mortality. Why is that? What are they doing differently in 2021 than they did in the years before?

Question– I can see what you’re getting at, but I still don’t think you have enough evidence to make your case.

Answer– Okay, then you tell me: Why are more people dying in 2021 than 2020? And, keep in mind, all-cause mortality isn’t just up a bit; it’s smashing the five-year average. Check out this recent post from Alex Berenson at Substack:
Scotland is 87% adult vaccinated; weekly deaths are now 30% above normal

Coronavirus Response
It is recommended you get a booster dose as soon as you are eligible. You are eligible for a booster if you are over: a) 12 years old and received the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine at least five months ago, b) 18 years old and received the second dose of the Moderna vaccine at least five months ago, or c) 18 years old and received the Johnson and Johnson vaccine more than two months ago. For more information, visit the vaccine eligibility page at socoemergency.org. Third doses of the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines have been authorized for patients who have had their second dose at least 28 days ago and are moderately or severely immunocompromised as defined by the CDC.

The County’s response is focused on vaccination and mitigation, and strategically prioritizes communities with the greatest needs using race disparity research, community voices and wisdom, and public health best practices. Here are some of the latest developments:

  • The many clinics hosted by our health partners provide first, second and booster doses. COVID-19 vaccines are free, and social security, citizenship and insurance are not required. Please note, pediatric doses are not available at all clinics and appointments are required at some clinics. Visit our vaccines clinics page to find a clinic near you that meets your needs.
  • As of March 7, school personnel who are not fully updated (which is defined as being vaccinated AND boosted, if eligible) must undergo twice weekly testing and wear masks in indoor work settings. Personnel in law enforcement, fire, EMS, pharmacies, dental offices and temporary disaster shelters who are fully vaccinated but not yet boosted are exempt from the testing and masking requirement. Please see the coronavirus – health orders and guidance page for more detailed information.
  • Regardless of vaccination status, masks are no longer required in most public settings, though public health officials strongly recommend masking in public indoor settings. Visit the hygiene and masks page.
  • Visit myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov for proof of vaccination. Enter your name, date of birth and the phone number or email you used to sign up for your vaccine appointment, and the State of California will send you a digital copy of your vaccination record. If you received your vaccination from a federal agency, such as Indian Health Services or the Department of Veterans Affairs, you will need to contact those agencies for assistance with your vaccination record.

---
That's that. Pandemic is over for the vaccinated boosted people.
I think there will be more waves of sickness and death, more variants produced, and more jabs given. "Vaccination and mitigation". That's the system.

The internet, as a whole, is under siege and the walls are crumbling. My own paranoid view is that the effort will reach complete success within a few years at most and there will be no "disinformation" on the internet at all.

This does not mean the final success of the empire. People communicated with each other for thousands of years before Al Gore invented the internet -- a monstrosity that has completely destroyed everything in its path -- books, newspapers, radio. Television is hanging on while transitioning to online distribution of its product. Our culture now IS the internet.

The truckers showed how an underground movement can show up out of "nowhere." All who have any fondness for the idea of individual autonomy had better start learning how to communicate without the internet. It could be gone altogether if this stupid "war" gets any further out of hand. And the drive for total control will not for any reason stop.

So long as we can still use this medium with only trollish interference, God Bless Johnny and God Bless this website.
.

I have no "vote" and do not want one. I am just a grateful freeloader who takes advantage of the generosity of others. If I did have a vote, I would point out that The Dose was created as a way to keep Covid posts off the Front Page. I assume that even if JtC were to kibosh this daily feature, he would still keep covid material off the Front Page.

If it matters, I do not donate any money to the internet as a matter of principle. Just as I wrote letters to the editor in those ancient days of print, I am happy to take advantage of the opportunity to express my point of view.

To the extent that JtC soldiers on -- I understand where he is coming from. Once upon a time I was the "owner" of a message board. Twenty years ago we had trolls and what later came to be known as influencers -- but they did not have the kind of juice behind them that today's CorpoPimps enjoy.

I hope that I am totally full of shit on this.

I was pretty much a contrarian for the first year or so of the Covid Saga, but I really had no certainty about anything. I just did not like the smell of the certitude behind the Lockdown, Mask and Vaccine story. And when I would point out contradictions and obvious bullshit, I would find myself the subject of a public call for banning.

I recite this personal note only to underline that I have no hostility toward anybody who is honest about this problem that we all have to face. Calling Ivermectin, "horse paste," was the back breaker for me. I still have no earthly idea as to what the best way to react to this contagious illness might be. I just have no tolerance for that kind of in your face bullshit.

My take on these "vaccines" was and is -- I do not trust the authorities. For all I know they are right on the dime with any given tale they tell. But they are lying about a whole lot of stuff and that ends my inquiry into which "side" to be on. One side lies, the other side isn't a side, just a random array of disorganized voices, some of them full of shit.

It is easy for me to pick a side.

But, as an individual, since long before I ever heard of Covid, I would never presume to advise somebody on a decision like whether to vaccinate. Thanks for replying to my screed.

ivermectin has fallen on deaf ears for some. In his own words he tells Dr. Tess Lowry why he killed his report that showed unequivocally that it did work after getting paid by Bill Gates to kill it. Tess asked him point blank how he felt about knowingly letting thousands of people die every day for doing what he did. This information has been posted in the dose going back months and yet we are still being told that it’s just a fallacy. Sure it is, but only if you refuse to hear what Hill said and why he did it. Or ignore the over 70 peer reviewed studies that show that it does work. This truth is going to get out one day and people will see that their government deliberately let hundreds of thousands of people die so that big pharma could make obscene profits. Both with their mRNA shots and now their anti viral drugs that don’t work and have horrible side effects. It’s why they killed ivermectin and HCQ and never told people about vitamins and healthy eating. And the world thinks it defeated the Nazi way of thinking.

It’s not surprising really that we are seeing this disdain for our lives after learning how Fauci let tens of thousands of gay men, children with hemophilia and people who got infected through blood transfusions die agonizing deaths. The movie Philadelphia was an account for what families and friends went through as was As the Band Played On. Larry Kramer exposed in 1987 Fauci's deliberate act of withholding Bactrim to treat AIDS pneumonia and took the cancer doctors out of play. He’s doing it again for Covid. How long will this be covered up?

Hill’s act will also be exposed one day, but only after more people die. But he’s not the only one doing this now is he?

Safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of escalating high doses of ivermectin in healthy adult subjects
2002 Oct

Abstract

Safety and pharmacokinetics (PK) of the antiparasitic drug ivermectin, administered in higher and/or more frequent doses than currently approved for human use, were evaluated in a double-blind, placebo-controlled, dose escalation study.... This study demonstrated that ivermectin is generally well tolerated at these higher doses and more frequent regimens.

The current recommendations by the FDA for one who has contracted COVID-19 is to stay at home, isolate and go to the hospital if and when breathing becomes difficult. We have heard of many instances where people have been denied treatment and told to return home if their oxygen levels was greater than 85% do to lack of beds and staffing shortages.

If you were admitted and your condition degraded to the point that you needed a ventilator your chances of recovery were considerably reduced - Study: Most N.Y. COVID Patients on Ventilators Died.

The FDA does not even discuss the efficacious benefit of vitamin D3 and other well known treatments. It is almost as if FDA wanted to increase the death toll of COVID-19 to scare people into relying solely on the little-tested mRNA 'vaccines'. BTW, the pretext for this therapy for getting the EUA was that there can be no other drug that could be used to ameliorate the disease.

Why are you so adverse to the use of ivermectin despite it's excellent safety record?

New scientific study on the efficacy of ivermectin in Covid-19 positive patients
January 25, 2022

In the empirical study conducted in the heart of the port city of Itajai in southern Brazil, more than 200,000 people were observed, and the results are clear. The risk of infection, severe cases, or mortality is lower.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Brazilian endocrinologist Dr. Flavio Cadegiani and eight other co-authors have published a peer-reviewed scientific study on the efficacy of early treatment with ivermectin against covid-19, involving more than 200,000 people.

“Before the study was published, I was very cautious about the efficacy of ivermectin as part of the treatment against covid-19,” Dr. Cadegiani admits to FranceSoir at the outset.

However, he asserts that he prescribed the drug to prevent the disease because “there is no risk in taking it.” In his opinion, the risk-benefit balance can only be positive since the risk is zero.

(Watch video the entire ivermectin story)

In the empirical study conducted in the heart of the port city of Itajai in southern Brazil, more than 200,000 people were observed, and the results are clear. The risk of infection, severe cases, or mortality is lower:

  • 44% reduction in risk of infection;
  • 56% reduction in risk of hospitalization (this may be comparable to the severe form of the disease);
  • 68% reduction in risk of death

Dr. Cadegiani states that this is the first publication and that four more will follow with data from other countries. He also emphasizes that he has no ties to pharmaceutical laboratories and even says that he contributed 100,000 euros out of his pocket to these various studies to conduct them.

It also tells of it's first use in an American hospital to treat a patient on a ventilator who was dying and had no other treatment left. Thanks for the inclusion. Hard to convince people who think its because we're in group think rather than it is the evidence. Shouldn't take being trained as a scientist to see that but...

Can't help those who are convinced otherwise.

Drs. Walensky and Offit: It’s All in Good Fun
By Thomas Harrington March 10, 2022

Developing psychic detachment can be an important skill, one that is not always easy to attain...
...
This trend has gone so far that we now see public figures speaking about policies that they have created and effectively imposed on other relatively powerless people acting, at times, as if they had nothing to do with creating them, and as if the human tragedies generated by them merit approximately the same attentions and concern one would give to, say, mistakenly picking up spicy rather than sweet Italian sausages on a trip to the local meat market.

I was reminded of this growing tendency toward moral flippancy in our elites as I watched interviews with two of the more influential architects of current US vaccine policy, Dr. Paul Offit and CDC chief Rochelle Walensky.
...
You see, even though a humanities professor like me with no scientific training knew —thanks to my readings of the Moderna, Pfizer and Janssen EUAs and from reading numerous scientific papers on vaccine effectiveness and safety and listening to people like Sucharit Bkahdi, Geert Vande Bossche and Michael Yeadon— by very early 2021 that the vaccines probably would not prevent transmission and might actually promote new resistant varieties of the virus, none of this was conceivable or knowable to the Director of the CDC.

Like the human hologram she apparently is, we are led to believe that she was there, but she was not really there. She was responsible, but really someone else was. “No one could have known,” she exclaims, except, of course, the hundreds of thousands of us amateurs who did, in fact, know, and were censored and called science-hating anti-vaxxers for our troubles.

And of course, holograms don’t do guilt or responsibility. Did she express any sympathy for the people that were forced out of jobs over their refusal to take what we now know, and she admits, were largely ineffective vaccines?

Nope, again even though she was in the chair, it was, of course, all beyond her control. And as a powerless spectator—cue the folksy music—just like you and me, she was disappointed and surprised. Mistakes were made. She meant well. Her only real faults, as she said in the same talk, were the clearly well-intentioned ones of having “too little caution and too much optimism.”

And while she was exonerating herself, she made time to give the masses a little bitty sermon on the nature of science itself.

Remember science?
...
Or as Harold Pinter put it in his Nobel Prize speech when referring to the US penchant for wantonly destroying other cultures, “It never happened. Nothing ever happened. Even while it was happening it wasn’t happening. It didn’t matter. It was of no interest.”

So yes, excessive psychic detachment turns fellow human beings into self-referential objects or our own minds can be rather problematic. Indeed, I think, though I can’t be sure, that psychologists even have a term for it: psychopathy.

For what it is worth, I believe it has all been said and exposed already for those willing to
consider non-mainstream venues. Perhaps as the pandemic transitions into an endemic
variant, we could get by with maybe 2 or 3 doses per week, rather than the present 7?
It is not difficult to post the header, but it is getting difficult to repeat functionally sane
responses. If issues like mandates and passports can not be expressed otherwise, any
one who wants to publish a specific topic can do so. Like freedom truckers or biolabs or
any of the associated side stories. I was not aware of the above mentioned groupthink,
but what do I know?

That most here think IVM is effective as a treatment is following evidence NOT group think. You are more than welcome to see it otherwise. I'm not asking you for your evidence nor acceptance of the effectiveness. I can think for myself and you are entitle to do the same.

I remember you accusing me of disregarding children's lives (and I devoted my career to children) because I correctly stated this IS NOT a disease of children. Children that died FROM COVID number very low world wide. Now with COVID is what is publicized, but I didn't and will not bother to respond to comments like your accusations.

And, by the way, not responding to comments that question your comments is emblematic of a groupthink situation.

Someone wishing to avoid those very real consequences of closures/lockdowns is not necessarily (as you appear to imply) looking to kill off kids with co-morbidities.

BTW - one of the top co-morbidities for any age is obesity - which has dramatically increased with lockdowns and school closures - how many people is *that* going to kill?

If we do what we know we need to do to make it as safe for everyone as possible (new HVAC systems in every school, adequate space to maintain social distancing, outdoor classes as much as possible, masking when indoors, vaccines for all eligible, etc.) it’s fine with me.

My discussion with Lookout had to do with his/her cavalier wave of the hand toward children with comorbidities. Open schools now because only those children are likely to die. I personally think that’s a monstrous position. YMMV

I don't see the use in responding. But for perspective, more children drown than die of COVID in a year, but we haven't banned swimming. The flu is more deadly to children than COVID.

And others have done a good job explaining other reasons. You are entitled to your fear porn but I see the risk benefit of opening schools very clearly.

As I said in the intro, we'll just have to agree to disagree.

EDIT to add: I am not cavalier about anyone's death. Those children are dying from their comorbdities with or without COVID...it is the nature of evolution.

I think it would be nice/appropriate to have some link to The Dose from the front page -

Something like "for ongoing Covid-related discussion go to The Dose in Community Content"

With a link to either Community Content or the most recent Dose.

And while having something focused on Covid/Plandemic seems appropriate, the connections to everything else: Great Reset, censorship, government corruption, immigration etc., etc... are so pervasive that it does not seem constructive or practical to attempt to exclude such content from non-Dose essays and commentary.

In any case, appreciate having the venue for The Dose and to those who have kept it going.

No one here is telling others what they must do, but bringing in information about things that can help people stay above ground. If others don’t want to follow the information then that is okay. I have no interest in changing anyone’s mind and I would appreciate others not trying to change mine. I believe that there has been enough information on treatments that will give me a good chance of not dying if I get infected. What the government has offered us doesn’t meet that criteria.

Let's just picture that you are part of a community that you have been living in for many years. Most days of the week, you walk over to the village square where all the community members are in various conversations on many topics. You join in 2 or 3 discussions and then go on with your day. One day you notice a new group in one part of the square having a very animated conversation. When you come in to listen closer, you hear a lot of talk about a particular topic and notice that there is not a small portion of it that you recognize as being low on evidence, or even based upon made up information. You notice also that the other conversations are still taking place, but they are increasingly overshadowed by that new group. It's kind of like your attention keeps being drawn to that boisterous group. And you realize that some of the stuff that is being said has the potential to confuse others who are trying to make some very important decisions. You find yourself dwelling on that group and noticing that the other groups have smaller and smaller numbers of people joining in. Most are gathered around the new group. So you try to counter the bad information with other evidence, and the more you do that, the more agitated the new group gets. Pretty soon you are being told that you have making bad decisions for your life because you are not agreeing with the group. One person even tells you to get the fuck out of the group if you don't like the conversation. Maybe you are told that your input is disrupting the whole village. You are told that group think is OK since the group has been "proven" to be correct. And finally, because you have spent more time in the new group trying to counter the group think, you are accused of being a troll because, even though you have spent years in this community talking with most of the groups, you have found yourself rather concerned and "lazer focused" on what is being said in the new group, and how that is affecting the whole community.

It is not an "insult" to counter someone's information. It is an insult if you call a person an idiot for believing what they believe or for offering what they offer. I have not done that, ever. I am not a troll and I am not trying to destroy The Dose or this site. Actually I might even be trying to preserve it because I see some ominous signs for the future.

I was asked by someone if I think people who push the prevailing view on The Dose are morons. I didn't even answer that because I found the question ridiculous and kind of insulting.

Just my two cents on how I see this column and how I see what has happened on C99 since the column started. If you don't agree with this view, then lets talk about it. The years I have been here ought to count for something, don't you think?

Oh, and on The Dose column voting. I vote to make it a less frequent offering. 7 days a week is too much. It would be for any other single topic too, especially one that seems to be so emotional for so many.

@Fishtroller 02 to illustrate your opinion of what goes on in The Dose. After all, you brought up "group think" while commenting in The Dose, and it is not the first time. I saw the comparison.
If you are in the minority at home, why are you so disconcerted about being of a minority opinion in these threads about all things COVID?
As you are fond of reminding us, you have the right to express your opinion, even if others find it offensive.
The only restraint is to keep your expressed opinion from insulting others.
Because you constantly assert your opinions in ways that trigger rather pointed responses, it sure appears as though that is your intent.

If you find yourself ignored, your information simply blown off, that would be because you have reduced your stature by your conduct.

by posting links and information that counter the narrative the (for example) Ivermectin is not a good treatment for Covid, or that the vaccines do not cause brain tumors in children or killed "millions" of people. Posting that makes people uncomfortable, so that makes it fine for them to accuse me of being a troll, or telling me to get the fuck off the site, or telling me that I made a horrible mistake getting vaccinated or my grandchildren are going to die because they got vaccinated. You are saying that there is nothing in those posts that demonstrates some kind of intent behind them? There's nothing in the anti vaccination stuff that is shared that makes ME uncomfortable- right? Just my posts-right? When a column is titled "for all things Covid", one would assume that all types of information sharing is supported, and that anyone in the village square can share, not matter what their POV. But that is not the case at all.
Oh, and you still don't get my analogy.

@Fishtroller 02 and uncertainty. Part of trying to recapture normalcy is doubling down with faith in traditional sources of guidance - CDC, FDA, government officials, community and religious leaders.

It can be a very uncomfortable place to be at the edge of information and research, especially with life and death issues. Sometimes one sees patterns of tragedies happening and the beginning others. Constant reanalysis of ones opinions with input from a multitude of sources, trusted and nontrusted. At times, emotions take over the communication process. Getting stuck on a few comments, over and over again, limits one's ability to process new information in relation to old information.

Prior to The Dose the loud, boisterous and insulting conversations would show up in any diary regardless of the subject. It was easier for the Trolls to slip in for a quick hit, then out of sight when the target overreacted. If the tone made someone uncomfortable to avoid they needed to stop visiting the site. The Dose has narrowed the awkward encounters to a very narrow space on the site. Simply avoid one diary a day or the ones with titles indicating the subject is Covid related.

I vote keep The Dose. It is useful.

@Fishtroller 02 if one considers COVID to be a religion, and preventative measures a religious practice. Moreover, C99 is not a government building.
If anyone uses The Dose to leave, that is certainly their prerogative, and demonstrates they have no real interest in free range political discussion. Skipping an ot on any subject shows you have no interest in that subject. Rather than entering and bitching about it, skipping it frees up more time to devote to subjects near and dear to one's heart.

And speaking of religion, there is a lot of money from religious groups behind the anti vax movement. Many of the truckers had crosses and Jesus signs on their trucks, and one of the biggest trucker funds came from a religious group. This has been well documented by separation of church and state groups.

By the way, it was Scalia who said 'just don't look at it if you find it offensive'.

And no, I did not call anti-vaxxers stupid. I tried to make it clear vaxxers do, with an almost religious fervor.
I find it both boring and useless to ask anyone why or how they formed their opinion on this vax. I am very interested in many other aspects of the vax program, such as the immunity guaranteed to Pharma, their rise in stock value, the suppression of alleged misinformation, and the adverse effects of the vax.
It is not my place, or yours, to try to convince anyone they are wrong about their vax positions. I can truthfully say, I don't give a flying fuck about who is or isn't vaxxed, nor their reasons for getting or not getting the jab.
