California: Over 1.3 Million votes yet to be counted.

Wow! Well, this is going to make the final margin a lot closer. Apparently CA has 30 days to count the votes.

From Reddit

https://www.reddit.com/r/SandersForPresident/comments/4n84nb/la_county_r...

So far we know for just 5 counties in CA that need to count provisional ballots
570,000 ballots to be counted in LA County
285,000 in San Diego County
95,000 in San Bernadino County
128,415 in Riverside County
245,070 in Orange County (58,000 VBM received in mail, 110,500 VBM turned in at polls, 61,370 provisionals; that totals 229,870, but that's all the info on the website)
Running total: 1,323,485

Follow the reddit link for links to official numbers.

These numbers are combinations of VBM received in mail, VBM turned in at polls; and Provisional.

LA County had 240,000+ provisional.

Do you know anything about the counting procedure? Will it be done in time to make any sort of difference? I can't help it.....I just continue to cling to tiny shreds of hope.

"California election law allows 30 days to conduct the official canvass of final election results...The day after the election, Vote By Mail ballots currently in-house and those turned in at the polls are processed and tallied (this process may take up to 10 days). As soon as the Vote By Mail ballots are processed, the Vote/No Vote procedure, which takes about seven days to complete, is started. Once the Vote/No Vote component is completed, the Provisional ballots are processed. This process takes approximately seven days."

I have read similar stuff on the LA County site.

That 285,000 for San Diego is more than voted for Her and Bernie combined (about 250K).

but one would have to think its mostly dems. One would have to imagine the provisionals would go strongly to Bernie. I hope the VBMs would favor him as well. I'm not sure if its enough for the win but it should make it a lot closer. Although how much more is out there? This is only 5 counties (albeit big ones)

all counties will also have the late-arriving mail ballots to wait for.

I saw Steven D's story yesterday with complaints from LA and wondered if it was really a big deal or not; I knew my polling place in NorCal was peaceful. But those are scary numbers of provisionals, I'm just amazed. All of SoCal fucked up badly.

In addition to those from election day to be counted, there remain mail in ballots to count.

Although the Associated Press declared 100% of districts reporting as of Wednesday, the reality is that ballots from vote-by-mail voters in California haven’t even all been delivered by the mail carrier to their destinations yet. So far, just over five million votes are accounted for, but eight million total voters were anticipated, according to The Field Poll. Nearly three million ballots might still be up in the air, soon to be counted.

Edit: I'm assuming (rightly or wrongly) that the asterisk means you already know the exit polling was cancelled.

At the Trust Vote - Protecting Our Elections meeting the end of May, they were looking for volunteers and staff to do exit polling on June 7. I haven't heard whether or not they were successful, what the difference was between actual votes and counted votes and/or e-vote machines. They covered past election fraud going back to 2000, too.

Protecting Our Elections

Published on May 29, 2016

Protecting Our Elections was presented by Bob Fitrakis, Cliff Arnebeck and Lori Grace at Sunrise Center, Corte Madera, CA.

This evening covered the issues we are all facing as voters in the 2016 election. Lori Grace, on behalf of the Institute for American Democracy and Election Integrity ( http://trustvote.org ), presented Bob Fitrakis, PhD, JD, and Cliff Arnebeck, JD, two election lawyers she has worked with since 2004. They talked about past challenges to election integrity in our presidential elections, the challenges we face in the current presidential election, and the opportunities we have as voters to create a more honest election.

I believe in an America where the separation of church and state is absolute ..., where no church or church school is granted any public funds or political preference. — President John F. Kennedy, Houston, TX, 12 September 1960

I saw that clip up at Cossacks for Sanders on Reddit, but there weren't many comments, and no hullabaloo raised. Today I searched for more information on Bob Fitrakis - his name is associated with HAARP and "chemtrails:"

[That] the government is engaged in secret experiments to control the weather should come as no surprise -- especially after a long history of "cloud seeding," "atom splitting" and cloning revelations.... [I]nvestigative reporter William Thomas holds that there's a link between the recent increase in asthma, allergies and upper respiratory ailments and the chemtrail spraying. Sound crazy? Remember, it sounded absurd when reports first came out that the government had conducted radioactivity experiments on U.S. citizens and released radiation from nuclear plants to test the effect on civilian populations. It sounded bizarre when news first filtered out that the government was engaged in the MK-Ultra mind-control experiments using LSD. The CIA and Defense Intelligence Agency admit they were responsible for many of the UFO sightings in the 1950s in order the explain away experimental military technology.

from: (if link doesn't show up, it's: http://www.rense.com/general20/chem.htm - an article written by Fitrakis)

So I wonder, is this a trustworthy guy?

because "rense.com" reprinted the article.

The link to the Fitrakis story you post goes back to alternet.org, which is far more reputable than Rense. Oddly enough, however, is the fact that the rense link doesn't work on alternet either. Now, in no way is Bob Fitrakis "associated with HAARP and chemtrails", a simple web search probably bears that out unless it goes back to Rense, hehe..... Knowing what we already know about Rense means the page on Rense is what's questionable, not the author. In fact, I'll go out on a limb and say that Rense.com probably fabricated that bullshit and posted a dead link to alternet. They are in fact a well-known disinfo site.

That happens more than you think out here on these here Internets. The real tell is that the Rense page doesn't read anything like how Fitzrakis writes. Here's a link to some of his actual work. You, dear readers, may be the judge....

I so want to believe there is hope that the election results would be brought into question, giving the super delegates a reason to switch to Bernie, but I'm not familiar with Fritakis and couldn't figure out why people didn't get excited about that clip. Sorry I followed the wrong link to find out more about him. Never heard of rense before, and that's what I get for a too simple internet search (and one long, horribly bad day).

Before I read your reply, I looked at another link (from The Nation), and already posted it. I'm not familiar with Joshua Holland, either, but thought the Nation would be more reliable. (?) Thanks for your feedback! I truly want to know how reliable Fritakis is because that clip resonates with my gut feeling and I want so much for it to be true that something can be done.

that doesn't do a lot for me. Right off the bat, we get this:

then at no time since the start of the race, regardless of how unscrupulous her campaign might be, would there be any rational motive for risking infamy by rigging the vote.

Here's the thing--SHE never had to take the risk. That's what the DNC is for. Their job was to convince all those small-fry folks at the precinct level that "The RU-wells SAY THUS-AND-SO, and so, no, I can't give you that Democratic ballot that you asked for, because My Precinct Trainer told me to give you this Provisional Ballot, and he/she would NEVER lie to me" (just to give ya one example of how that shit tends to actually work), and boom. Hillary Clinton has plausible deniability.

So that article, unless I missed something else, goes right out the window, because of course Hillary didn't fix the election. For fuck's sake!

OTOH, one thing I don't miss is the disdain the author has for Fitrakis right off the bat...

I attempted to debunk allegations of widespread election fraud by the Clinton campaign that have been swirling around on social media.

Fitrakis has been writing about elections and our vote process since at least 2000. He never started, nor does he primarily "live" on "social media". So what was the point of targeting him and a co-writer in particular, again?

Edited note: when I ask these sorts of questions in response to "articles" and "authors", understand that a lot of the time, it's more me asking the authors of said articles than whoever posted it Smile

Fitrakis is trying (with others) to expose voter fraud and stolen elections, not cover them up. They've been at this for a very long time, and that puts them all in the category of 'good guys' in my book. Pointing out the illegal activities that have had world-wide consequences is a dangerous business.

I've known about and/or suspected political corruption for a very long time, but with the advent of the wrongheaded (if not unconstitutional) SCOTUS decision of 12 December 2000 and the resulting attempted cover-ups and media blackout to protect Dumbya, Dickie, et alia, I knew we had rounded a corner to the worst election scandal I'd heard of, and the only thing that still mystifies me is why Gore and Kerry turned into shame-faced Harvey Milquetoasts and let the Bushistas get by with their criminal activities, as well as Congress letting them get by with unconstitutional, illegal, immoral, unethical behavior without even investigating their lies and war crimes. I was horrified and dumbfounded when Obama continued their wars and added war crimes of his own because while I knew he was too naive for the office with his lack of experience, I had hoped he would not so enthusiasticlly fall in line with the Rethug positions and keep the Bushista personnel to continue their lies, war crimes, and then he added a few of his own.

Worse: Corrupt voting practices, fraud, hacked (or pre-programmed) e-voting machines that change voter totals, disenfranchisement of voters, etc., that stole the election in 2000 continued on through '04, '08, '12, and it's affecting our election this year, perhaps the worst I've seen yet because it's so blatantly out in the open and pervasive. They're thumbing their noses at us, daring us to stop them!

The only remaining question for '16 is whether or not We the People will continue to put up with the voter fraud and disenfranchisement, or if we'll contest this election racketeering and allow the lying, warmongering Dem candidate to succeed at it this time, just as the American voters did in 2000, '04, '08, & '12. If the state legislatures don't change their laws, make voting registration easier (and stop listing political affiliation on the registration form which necessitates deadlines for registering and causes problems if there is no open primary) and make paper ballots mandatory to ease the way for recounts, they need to be punished for aiding and abetting in voter fraud and stolen elections. [I'd be in favor of not allowing their voting numbers to be accepted nationwide if they don't change to a verifiable paper ballot. There must be consequences for participation in throwing elections, whether in the primary processes or election day itself.]

Will we FINALLY do something about the known fraud and disenfranchisement this year??? Will we FINALLY change voting practices and get some honest elections for a change..., or put up with the status quo - AGAIN?!?

Haven't we had enough of this bullshit yet?

I believe in an America where the separation of church and state is absolute ..., where no church or church school is granted any public funds or political preference. — President John F. Kennedy, Houston, TX, 12 September 1960

It has been learned from poll workers that 50% to 90% of voters who were supposed to have been eligible to vote in the Democratic primary were told they would have to vote provisional ballots. There were two irregularities leading to the forced use of provisional ballots instead of regular ballots. The first was that previously registered voters' names had been removed from the rolls. The second was that someone (in most cases, not the voter) had marked them as vote by mail voters but they had received no ballot in the mail. Oddly, virtually all of those not allowed to vote and forced to vote provisional ballots were Bernie Sanders supporters.

The next oddity is even more curious. Poll workers in Los Angeles and Orange County report that Bernie won the electronic votes in their precincts by well over a 2 to 1 margin, the opposite of the result of the vote count. The contrast between this and the outcome is indicative of vote-flipping. Also the outcome.. outcome does not match what anyone who has conducted polling in this state knows: Below the election night video is a video about black box voting (Hacking Democracy) , The Democratic Party has essentially endorsed this video, showing it at various conventions and another video of a computer programmer confessing to creating a vote-flipping program.

"It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society." --Jiddu Krishnamurti

http://justicegazette.org/bernie-defrauded-in-ca.html

June 7, 2016. California. The Justice Gazette reporters and others are conducting an investigation into voting irregularities and the theft of Bernie Sanders's apparent California landslide victory by those supporting Hillary Clinton. According to popular actress Frances Fisher, a lawsuit is being prepared to require the counting of all the provisional ballots. If this lawsuit is successful, the actual vote count is expected to become known and Sanders will likely have a landslide victory in California.[...]

Poll workers in Orange and Los Angeles County have reported that Bernie won the electronic votes in their precincts by well over a 2 to 1 margin. So how does this translate into a victory for Clinton? Ask yourself why an excited crowd of thousands came to the election night event of a loser when this kind of crowd has never come to the event of a primary loser in California's history. Perhaps this is because Sanders didn't lose. Votes can be flipped in less than a minute by someone walking into the Registrars office. Watch Bev Harris's documentary Hacking Democracy and the video of a confession on the creator of a program designed to do just that below....
