I hope they drop those rocks carefully...
Too bad there's never money for infrastructure in the richest country in the world, or maybe the levees (so to speak) wouldn't be in danger of breaking in so many places.

This article has more information and a timeline of problems with the dam and it looks like no more water is going over the emergency spillway
Helicopters had been dropping rocks into the sinkhole before they had to release more water to try to keep it from getting worse, but it looks like the whole spillway is going to be needing replaced.

Scientists are concerned that conspiracy theories may die out if they keep coming true at the current alarming rate.
The time stamps don't make sense...
It looks like there are photos from Feb. 7 showing the sink hole and erosion into the side of the small spillway. Then there are photos from Feb. 9 showing very significant water spillage over that same auxiliary spillway. It looks like they released water into the damaged spillway.

" they released water into the damaged spillway"
largest dam. I was hoping they knew what they were doing, because it sure looked like a dumb idea with that gaping hole in the original spillway. Better that fail then the dam itself I guess. Then whoa what a spectacular explosion of water and debris when it hit that hole. Wow. Might as well have been dynamite.
yes they did that at first, to protect the dam. It is California'sThe National Guard has been called out. I read that on Breitbart.
Thanks
