Here's "my" Congressman's response to President Chump's speech to Congress:

February 28, 2017

LAMBORN RESPONDS TO TRUMP'S JOINT ADDRESS

Congressman Lamborn issued the following statement in response to the President's Joint Address to a Session of Congress:

"I was inspired by the President's speech. He spoke about restoring American greatness and the specific elements that will make our country great: education, rebuilding the military, honoring our law enforcement, protecting our borders, creating jobs, and improving care for our veterans. I know if we do these things, the economy will pick up, people will have more jobs, and we will enjoy more prosperity as a people. Now, with a united Republican majority in Congress, we truly have the capacity to fulfill our promises to the American people. I look forward to working with my colleagues in Congress as well as the Trump Administration to make this vision of American greatness a reality."

to my congresscritter Beutler. This could be the opening I've waited for.
If the Republicans screw this up, I may be able to toss her out in 2018.
She has been nothing more than a placeholder with a wealthy hubby. Doesn't hold any townhalls. Makes no public appearances. Hear from her solely by franking privileges. Stuck on veterans affairs and has no idea another constituency even exists.
I know Clark County, Wa. isn't populated with only veterans. I can't believe voters here prefer an awol House Rep.
But then again, Don Benton hid out here for years and is now thought to be dead somewhere downtown.
Extremely strange conservatives here in that they seem fine with just seeing her every two years.
I've already got my pitch going door to door. As soon as they open the door I'll ask "Do you know the name of your House representative"? If not, "Would you like to have a Rep. thats unforgettable"? "Would you like to turn on cspan and find your Reps. face there"? "Would you like to be able to read off a list of accomplishments that your Rep. has made to anyone whom asks"?
And the first one that says Don Benton is their Rep. I'm just gonna punch out. They gotta be brain dead, no harm no foul.
