stimulus is showering money on Americans and sharply cutting poverty! How can you be so cynical Wendy, Unca Joe is going to save America from the ravages of the Covid, as soon as we are all vaxxed that is. And hey, why would anyone question the motives of the vaccine manufacturers or farmer Bill? Why, he only has all of our very best interests in mind, just as Unca Joe does! There is no profit motive behind Bill's $3.5 Billion to shoot up the poor, and there is certainly no Great Reset in mind whereby we will all own nothing and be so happy we won't even care about their profits while we fight each other over that miracle shot. Why should farmer Bill pay that $3.5 billion himself even if he can easily afford it, he too needs a bailout for all of his altruism and all the good things he's done for the poor. Never mind those stats that say otherwise, why, that's merely Russian disinformation, surely we all KNOW that by now!

And the truly horrifying part is about half of this country not only believes in the bullshit I just shoveled out in that first paragraph, but will fight to the death anyone who disagrees with said bullshit statements. USA, USA, USA!!!

I recently examined nearly twenty thousand charitable grants the Gates Foundation had made through the end of June and found more than $250 million going toward journalism. Recipients included news operations like the BBC, NBC, Al Jazeera, ProPublica, National Journal, The Guardian, Univision, Medium, the Financial Times, The Atlantic, the Texas Tribune, Gannett, Washington Monthly, Le Monde, and the Center for Investigative Reporting; charitable organizations affiliated with news outlets, like BBC Media Action and the New York Times’ Neediest Cases Fund; media companies such as Participant, whose documentary Waiting for “Superman” supports Gates’s agenda on charter schools; journalistic organizations such as the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, the National Press Foundation, and the International Center for Journalists; and a variety of other groups creating news content or working on journalism, such as the Leo Burnett Company, an ad agency that Gates commissioned to create a “news site” to promote the success of aid groups. During the pandemic, news outlets have widely looked to Bill Gates as a public health expert on covid—even though Gates has no medical training and is not a public official. PolitiFact and USA Today (run by the Poynter Institute and Gannett, respectively—both of which have received funds from the Gates Foundation) have even used their fact-checking platforms to defend Gates from “false conspiracy theories” and “misinformation,” like the idea that the foundation has financial investments in companies developing covid vaccines and therapies. In fact, the foundation’s website and most recent tax forms clearly show investments in such companies, including Gilead and CureVac.

In the same way that the news media has given Gates an outsize voice in the pandemic, the foundation has long used its charitable giving to shape the public discourse on everything from global health to education to agriculture—a level of influence that has landed Bill Gates on Forbes’s list of the most powerful people in the world. The Gates Foundation can point to important charitable accomplishments over the past two decades—like helping drive down polio and putting new funds into fighting malaria—but even these efforts have drawn expert detractors who say that Gates may actually be introducing harm, or distracting us from more important, lifesaving public health projects.

In a statement released Monday morning, the district called Daily Pass a critical component of Los Angeles Unified's ‘Safe Steps to Safe Schools' reopening plan.

Daily Pass was developed with support from Microsoft Corp. and can be accessed from any mobile phone, tablet or a computer, the district said.

Daily Pass generates a unique QR code for each student and staff member, and that code authorizes entry to a specific LAUSD location for that day only -- as long as the individual receives a negative test result for COVID, shows no symptoms and has a temperature under 100 degrees, the district said.

Upon the individual's arrival to a campus, their QR code is scanned by a district school-site leader, who takes the individual's temperature.

“The Daily Pass sets the highest standard possible for school safety,'' said LAUSD Superintendent Austin Beutner. ``MERV-13 upgraded air filters in every school, COVID testing for all students and staff at least every week and now the Daily Pass -- Los Angeles Unified is proud to lead the nation in creating the safest possible school environment.''

The LAUSD said it's the first school district -- and likely the largest employer in nation -- to adopt the technology, the district said.

He’s an American doctor whose previous jobs were also funded by Gates and several NATO governments, and before that by the Rockefeller Foundation.
