If civilization makes it through this crisis, the lesson is not to let one mother fucker be the Infinitely Big Cheese. Checks and balances require limits on the Executive.

Fantasizing about yelling "national security" and throwing somebody in jail -- pretty nutso already just blabbing this way. What's next? Turning the east wing into a jail and torture chamber? To teach the Supreme Court a lesson in power.
