This War Will Destabilize The Entire Mideast Region And Set Off A Global Shockwave Of Anti-Americanism vs. No It Won’t

George W. Bush may think that a war against Iraq is the solution to our problems, but the reality is, it will only serve to create far more.

This war will not put an end to anti-Americanism; it will fan the flames of hatred even higher. It will not end the threat of weapons of mass destruction; it will make possible their further proliferation. And it will not lay the groundwork for the flourishing of democracy throughout the Mideast; it will harden the resolve of Arab states to drive out all Western (i.e. U.S.) influence.

If you thought Osama bin Laden was bad, just wait until the countless children who become orphaned by U.S. bombs in the coming weeks are all grown up. Do you think they will forget what country dropped the bombs that killed their parents? In 10 or 15 years, we will look back fondly on the days when there were only a few thousand Middle Easterners dedicated to destroying the U.S. and willing to die for the fundamentalist cause. From this war, a million bin Ladens will bloom.

We have started so many fires lately I don’t see how anyone sane can think that we will come out ahead on this global battle for dominance. From extending the wars we’re in to trying to start new and more dangerous ones. It doesn’t have to be this way anymore. When you have Russia and China moving towards partnership and other countries kinda balking at our arrogance it seems that the best thing to do is for the unhappy NATO countries to quit and join the more sane ones. Clinton could have gone with peace after the Soviet Union fell. But no and the rest is history.

Looking at articles I found from Pluto’s links on China and from others I’m in awe at what they are doing both financially and infrastructure wise. They lifted 800 million people out of poverty and are building incredible homes, cities and what nots. Here millions more Americans are pushed either into poverty or deeper into it. Trains there go really fast are very nice. Ours are old and not nothing like they should be. Amtrak seems to get sadder and sadder each year and now that Biden’s the train president they are close to being out of business or privatized.

Anywho my point is all the insanity of global hegemony backed by the military.

Okay China is going to be better because of its economy and that bugs us so then what’s the obvious fix? Rebuilding the US economy is the best and more peaceful plan because the other one is to bomb China into the stone age which will be bad because they might just do it back. Or get one of their friends to help.

Other than that I got nothing. It doesn’t make sense destroying the world. Color me confused.

beyond the fuck-up he had gone through before that. Because he flew into Iraq that day watching shock and awe bombardments on Saddam's compound from the air. You bet neither he nor me nor my son's father could have ever imagined that the US would bombard Iraq to ... find Osama there or for what? And I was pissed off over all those arrogant folks who were saying, if you had to wear a uniform and joined the US military, it's your own fault and you must be an idiot to believe in Bush' propaganda. To which I can only say that apparently some folks lack the comprehension of how other folks end up wearing a uniform and still have their own head to think. It's even worse not to be a victim of a successful propaganda manipulation, because if you are, you would not understand of the American hypocrisy. But if you were not a victim, you UNDERSTAND the bullshit of the US war in Iraq. And that's the true bullshit to the power of two.

@Lookout Huawei communication equipment in France for at least a couple of years. We've had some in our home. Don't see any signs of countries in Europe backing off. They like this technology. There is a lot of de-centralized, rural areas in France, but the deployment of fibre optics and other communication technology is moving along.

It did not have to be that way for your son or any other service member. Our leaders knew exactly what they were doing then and what they continue to do today by sending our service men into wars of choice. It has led to the demeaning of the services and the people who volunteer to defend our country. The key word here is defend. And sending our military needlessly into harm's way to act as the muscle for the oligarchy is not defense. Our service people are victims of our hegemony, not those to be vilified.

At our local Peace vigil, we were very clear that we were NOT anti-service members, but our anger was directed toward those politicians who have send our your people into wars of their choosing.

IMO, those going into the military service should be honored by our country by doing everything we can to keep them out of harm's way. Too many lives have been lost or damaged by the recklessness of our leaders. I am so sorry.

This is all about China.
It is not about the Soviet Union, the Middle East, or any other of the resource-rich nations that the US is currently terrorizing and attempting to kill off their populations.

Wherever the US goes, it brings chaos, destruction, ruin, human suffering, hunger, starvation, unspeakable horrors, injustice, and death. US soldiers come back from their destructions and slaughters, sick and broken from what they have done. Fact: Six hundred kill themselves every month. On January 6, 2021, a small group of brain-addled citizens, led in large part by these broken ex-soldiers, stormed the US Capitol, motivated by their delusional beliefs. They will be tried and punished for 'insurrection' in a splashy media show trial — in order to hide the true responsible party — the Pentagon — America's temple to Evil and Human Destruction.

I believe the thinking and reasoning world is aware of what is really going on here — including US allies.
