“Amazon won’t let us leave.”

Please, Caucus99percent, dont become part of the Valley of the Clueless, the hundreds of blogs where The US is becoming like the Iron Curtain countries of my youth because of censorship by the countries of the corporate state. These are the blogs that are likely being paid off by the CIA or who knows what agency, to hide the falling apart of American democracy and parrot the "party line".

In the case of this story, there needs to be a national awareness of the fact that there seems to be no right to leave work when its a dangerous situation the employer is demanding people stay in.

With so called "extreme weather" becoming endemic, there needs to be a legal right to go to safety.

"NBC News reported Monday [https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/kentucky-tornado-factory-workers-th... that workers at a Kentucky candle
+factory were told by superiors that they could be fired if they fled their workplace as a powerful storm approached. In Illinois, one Amazon worker who died reportedly texted

The building fell apart, the concrete may not have been given adequate time to set before the corporation occupied the building with their robotic infrastructure.

... the Milgram electric shock experiment proves the authorities in white coats can convince us to harm our fellow travelers.

We have the ability to step away. I understand financial constraints...but there's another job...another path...have courage and be the person you want to be. Now is the time....pass the word.

They should have shut the building down as that huge tornado approached. How could they not have?

If extreme weather continues to worsen, these kinds of buildings should be equipped with NOAA radio-sirens (ask me if you need instructions in how to make one for less than $50) that make it clear in no uncertain terms that they MUST shut down and send workers home, they MUST shut down when the extreme weather approaches. (using a raspberry pi zero and rtlsdr dongle)
