But Russia

In the newly controlled Democratic House, H.R.1 – meant to signal the new majority’s priorities – is an anti-corruption bill that combines election and campaign finance reform, strengthening of voting rights, and matching public funds for small-dollar candidates. In the new 2017 Senate, the GOP-controlled S.1 was a bill, called the “Tax Cuts and Jobs Act,” that, among other provisions, cut various forms of corporate taxes.

But in the 2019 GOP-controlled Senate, the first bill to be considered – S.1 – is not designed to protect American workers, bolster U.S. companies, or address the various debates over border security and immigration. It’s not a bill to open the government. Instead, according to multiple sources involved in the legislative process, S.1 will be a compendium containing a handful of foreign-policy related measures, a main one of which is a provision, with Florida’s GOP Sen. Marco Rubio as a lead sponsor, to defend the Israeli government. The bill is a top legislative priority for AIPAC.

AIPAC and the NRA were the most effective lobbies in congress. Sure seems that way.

Although Saudi Arabia is giving 'em a run and has been for quite awhile
https://www.thenation.com/article/saudi-lobbying-complex-adds-new-member...

Many influential nonprofits in Washington have relied upon Saudi government support. The confirmation hearing for Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel revealed that the Atlantic Council, a think tank that advises lawmakers on foreign policy, received contributions from Saudi Arabia, among other foreign governments.

Khalid Alnaji, a registered agent of the Saudi government and president of the US subsidiary of the Saudi Arabian national oil company ARAMCO, sits on the board of the American Petroleum Institute, the powerful lobby group that funds several conservative nonprofits and sponsors election-season television advertisements. On September 17, the former Ambassador Robert Ford, a senior fellow at the Middle East Institute, testified before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on the need to arm Syrian rebel groups.
Throughout the years, Saudi Arabia has retained numerous law and lobbying firms to influence American public opinion and policy.

Oh I see he is merely a member.

Kissinger is also a Bilderburg Group Member, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and a ‘participator’ in the Trilateral Commission.

In 2013, the Atlantic Council awarded Hillary the “Distinguished International Leadership” title which was presented by Kissinger, and in which she vehemently pushed for the TPP Agreement

Henry Kissinger Quotes:

“It is not a matter of what is true that counts, but a matter of what is perceived to be true.”

“The issues are too important to be left to the voters.”

“The illegal we do immediately, the unconstitutional take a little bit longer.”

In 2015 and 2016, the three largest donors, giving over $1 million USD each, were US billionaire Adrienne Arsht (executive vice chair[12]), Lebanese billionaire Bahaa Hariri (estranged brother of Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri[13]), and the United Arab Emirates.[14][15] The full list of financial sponsors includes many military, financial, and corporate concerns.[16]

...it's interesting to note that the highest numbers of Americans ever say they would like to leave the US and move to a better country. This, according to new Gallup Poll results reported two days ago. These Americans do not believe they have a favorable future in America. And, they're right. Important civil rights may be revoked if this election is not turned completely upside down by an independent presidential candidate.

The 30% of Americans younger than 30, who would like to migrate, represents a new high.

Some see this trend as a reaction to Trump's governing style, but I'm not so sure they are looking for a permanent solution to a temporary problem. I'm more inclined to see this trend as a manifestation of what happens when people suddenly wake up and realize how dangerous the political risks are for individual Americans. Over the years, all things 'Left' have been systematically crushed by government, including unions, the labor movement, and national health, education, and welfare.

The neocons and neoliberals are reacting by laying the groundwork to criminalize citizen dissent and peaceful protest. Unfortunately, their unconstitutional government overreach is stimulating the political rise of authentic Leftist ideas in America. They are helping to spread the word. These DC Bubble-dwellers are in a frenzy of activity — right now — to push more propaganda and enact new laws to crush Left ideas designed to benefit society and empower the People. The race is on to smear and sabotage the Left and stop the spread of their principles before they grow stronger and take bloom in People's hearts. Washington's corporate tools are well aware of what is taking place and what is really at stake. Total oppression in the US has not yet been normalized, and heavy-handed military police action against the People and their policy ideas during an election could backfire. The corporate-owned media is losing credibility by the day. This window will still be open for a little bit longer.

The increasing political polarization in the U.S. may also be acting as a motivator. The explosive growth of the US police state is a clear warning sign that repressive policies are in the works for dissenters. Women seem intuitively aware of what's coming; they've taken prominent roles and are speaking out.

After years of remaining flat, the number of Americans -- particularly young women -- who desire to leave the U.S. permanently is on the rise. This increase is concerning, but none of this suggests that the U.S. is going to suddenly see a mass migration in which it could lose as many as 40% of its young women.

The upcoming 2020 election shows every sign of being the strangest and most contrarian election ever. The huge majority of voting-eligible-but-disenfranchised Americans could coalesce out of the nation's shadows and rise up like Godzilla.**

Mobilizing them may not even be necessary, although we do need to continue the important work of reaching out to others and helping them wake up if they have the potential and interest. All the heavy-lifting is being done inadvertently by the Neoliberal corporatists, the IA subversives, the Democratic hoaxers, and both Party's utterly corrupt establishment elites. Their continued deafness to the mood of the American body politic is actually inspiring a powerful awakening of True-Left principles that return control of the government to the People. The Left coalition — which is the silent alliance of America's intended loyal opposition — has grown exponentially since Occupy and the Bernie Sanders experience. The next step is the platform. However, even that is writing itself and incorporating the People's neglected and long-overdue agendas. For the first time in over half a century, an estimated sixty-five percent of voting-eligible Americans may finally feel like they will be represented at the national level by electing an Independent President.

Now that's what I'd call a "sleeping dragon." Wake up!

Overthrowing Hillary and tumbling both Parties in 2016 gave us the opportunity to run the ball halfway down the playing field. Now let's finish what we started and carry the ball to the Victory zone by electing an Independent President to represent the American people. Let's get it done.

It's the crap that congress is doing and wants to do that is. And it didn't start when Trump became president, but when Obama was.

The explosive growth of the US police state is a clear warning sign that repressive policies are in the works for dissenters.

This will definitely happen if the yellow vest movement hits here. Most of the laws have already been written starting with the patriot act and then Obama's NDAA. DiFi has done her part too in making some protesting against animal rights abuses illegal and subjected to felony charges. People who protested DAPL are facing long prison terms if they are found guilty of some acts. But of course not the private mercenaries who assaulted them.

Economic and the police state is why I want to expatriate. I picked New Zealand because Janis said that she has an extra room for me and the dawgs. Isn't this right Janis?

@snoopydawg

I'm grooming this comment for an article. I've wanted to leave the country since I was about 13, so the topic is of particular interest to me. I want to go to New Zealand, too.

I operate from the premise that there has never been a Left Party in the US. There have been a couple of left movements, surrounding labor. Labr laws in the US are a bad joke, so they were not very effective. But, I've found an organized Left in almost all other countries. Left principles are embedded in the nature of humans. It evolved as a survival mechanism. It's absense is very creepy.

I don't think people, even here, know what a Left ideology means and how it wraps around all issues as an interactive element. People think anti-war is Left or Pro environment is Left. Those are just positions that can be taken by anyone. Progressiveness is not the Left. It's a stand-in for groups that are adapting to evolutionary changes. Activism is not a Left thing and neither is protest. Left is not a doctrine or formula like socialism, either. Left is much bigger. Staying Left is actually the basic human instinct that made human evolution possible.

Not to be preachy about it, but I think Americans will have a hard time recognizing the Left it if they think it's about certain policies. No wonder it is so easy to suck them back into the corporate parties. Parties and platforms are fine for coordinating political positions across time and space. They were practical before about 1890. But they have drifted too far from human instincts. That's why people need to look up the day's talking points.

I'm convinced that a non-party affiliated President is the only way to change things fast enough to rescue us. It's the corporate-owned Parties that are making Presidents corrupt and their judgement so poor. I hope I'm not the only one who got this message. Obviously, the 2020 election is going to be another pissed-off one. I hope there is a wise, Party-Independent candidate for them to vote FOR. That's the only rapid and legal game-changer available, I believe.

Either way, I'll be done with politics by then.

But haven't you heard?

Well, no. Actually, I hadn't heard this (/s), but I'm getting to where I believe almost any harebrained idea is possible. In fact........

While I have hardly been back there since the Ides of March purge, I am sorely tempted to log in (if they haven't thrown me out) and start posting the most inane, totally impossible Russia-did-it piffle I can conjure up.

I've always secretly admired the writers of the various (and vanishing) supermarket tabloid rags such as the Weekly World News (sadly now online only). I think I read once that most of those writers lived around one town in Florida and were mostly UK expatriates. If memory serves, it was the same town in which most American carnival workers reside. Seems fitting.

In any event, I thought lounging around in Florida bars sipping Scotch all day, dreaming up foolishness to foist on slow-witted Americans - and getting paid for it - was somehow an ideal occupation. In the spirit of that, I'd love to lead the KOS-crowd around by a imaginary leash and watch them chase their tails. I mean, you could publish literally anything that accuses the Russians of any fault - that actually lies at the feet of the Democrats, or at least the globalist neo-liberals - and they will buy it, hook, line, and sinker. And consider this: you can't get in trouble for any of it! None. What are they going to do? Throw you out for publishing lies about Russia? Hell, no, they won't do that. They'll be lining up to back you! Front page! RUSSIAN MOLES INFILTRATE SHREDDED WHEAT FACTORY! RUSSIAN INFLUENCE CAUSES HIGH SCHOOL PROM QUEEN TO TURN TO PROSTITUTION! RUSSIA SUPPLIES FAULTY WATER PIPES TO ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS!

What fun!

Here's a great site that will get you up to date on what the kids think that the great Vlad has done after he got Trump elected.

Putin's Payout: 10 Ways Trump has supported Putin's Foreign Policies

You will have to follow some of the links in it to get more of the gist in what the Great Vlad has accomplished.

Here's one thing that Trump has supposedly done to help Vlad sleep better at night:

The Trump White House considered moving US forces away from Russia’s borders. Upon coming into office, a senior Trump appointee to the National Security Council, Kevin Harrington, proposed withdrawing US military forces from Eastern Europe. He reportedly framed the proposal specifically as an overture to Vladimir Putin as part of a strategy to “refram[e] our interests within the context of a new relationship with Russia.”

Um, no. This has not happened. In fact Trump has continued sending troops and military equipment into country close to Russia's borders and has just sent more Naval ships to the Black Sea and is contemplating playing around in the Azea sea and more importantly the Kersh Straights. Why? Ukraine's president asked them to because he want a conflict with Russia.

In case you're interested here's what the democrats are gearing up to do in regards to investigating Trump while ignoring the needs of the nation.

Democrats are planning to investigate, hold hearings, and issue subpoenas when necessary on everything from Trump-Russia collusion, Trump's business interests and taxes, Trump administration corruption and personnel issues, Trump administration/White House policies concerning health care, immigration, education, trade, and the environment, among others. By Democrats' own admission, it will be a head-spinning exercise in both transparency and public education.

And WHY is this not a violation of our first amendment rights?

Of course it's a violation of our first amendment right, but when Israel says "jump" they do. That Bibi was allowed to tell the house to try to derail the Iran deal showed just how captured they are by Israel.

Here's a blast from the past.

US Sought Syria Regime Change For Israel’s Sake

It is rare for a succinct foreign policy platform paper to so fully reflect a candidate’s thinking process. The State Department email of Hillary Clinton, available on WikiLeaks, lays out the Democrat front-runner’s strategy as an architect of US intervention in Syria, shows the flawed reasoning that beget the scheme, and perhaps most importantly is totally blind to the huge problems that the war ultimately led to.

As with so many US wars in the Middle East, it all starts with Israel, and then-Secretary of State Clinton saw the US imposing regime change in Syria as primarily about benefiting Israel and spiting Iran, a position that closely mirrors several Israeli officials on the matter.

The Clinton ideal was that the US would impose regime change with arms, and without troops, and that Russia wouldn’t dare oppose America (noting Russia did nothing during Kosovo), that the new US-backed Syrian government would abandon ties with Iran, turn against Hezbollah, and potentially negotiate a peace settlement with Israel, while the rest of the Arab world cheers America " “as fighting for their people.”

It sure didn't take long for American troops to enter the fray. Again I ask why the hell can't Israeli troops do the fighting when it wants regime change instead of our troops doing it? Putting ones life on the line for your country is one thing, but doing it for another country is another. The Saudis were also going to be the beneficiaries of Assad being gone, and they don't have to use their troops either. Do their people's lives mean more than ours?

Then there's that $3.8 billion Israel gets every year while its people have great health care and the other things that our generation doesn't want us to have.

I can't wait for Trumps supporters to see how he puts America first.

Schumer Denounced for 'Absolutely Disgusting' AIPAC Speech

"Bigoted," "outrageous," and "disgusting" were just a handful of the many adjectives critics used to denounce Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer's (D-N.Y.) speech this week before the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), which attributed ongoing Middle East conflict not to Israel's decades of brutal U.S.-backed occupation of Palestinian territories, but to Palestinians' failure to "believe in the Torah."

"The fact of the matter is that too many Palestinians and too many Arabs do not want any Jewish state in the Middle East," Schumer told the audience gathered for AIPAC's annual conference in Washington, D.C. "Of course, we say it's our land, the Torah says it, but they don't believe in the Torah. So that's the reason there is not peace. They invent other reasons, but they do not believe in a Jewish state and that is why we, in America, must stand strong with Israel through thick and thin.
