The term “red shift” was first coined by author Jonathan Simon in his 2014 book, “Code Red: Computerized Election Theft and the New American Century”. It was originally used by astrophysicists for various observations and discoveries in outer space. However in this context it's used to describe statistical analysis of US elections, in particular how the official votecounts are moved to the Republican right of every election for at least the past 10 years. These red shifts are strongly matched whenever 'black box voting' is used, and are completely non-existent when hand-counting of paper ballots are done and the secret electronics hardware and software are removed from the equation.

Red shifts show up after exit polls are done, and excessive MOEs are observed, sometimes with astronomically-high probabilities . It is caused, not just correlated to, the rampant unaccountability in modern elections.

Invariably these statistically-impossible redshifts are used to bolster the rightwing stranglehold on the US. However as Cliff Arnebeck has recently noted, it can be used as a divide and conquer strategy against competing candidates in the Democratic primaries, which is why there is an election fraud lawsuit on behalf of Bernie Sanders. A red shift in this case benefited the most rightwing, corporate-preferred candidate:

'In my opinion Hillary Clinton has been used for the purpose of scuttling Bernie Sanders campaign for president, she is being used…but they’ve been caught, it’s obvious, it’s just like Bernie Sanders when he talks about the system is rigged, ah the elections are rigged, the evidence is clear, everybody’s gonna see it and the game is over…Bernie has won in fact…”
