No better example of how badly this party is stuck in the past.

The current working assumption appears to be that our Shroedinger's Cat system is still alive. But what if we all suspect it's not, and the real problem is we just can't bring ourselves to open the box?

WHAT A FUCKING JOKE

We build walls to keep those progressives outside and away so we don't need to see them demonstrate!

How some people can't see the irony of that is un-fucking-believeable

When I was a kid, Republicans used to red scare people, now it's the Democrats. I am getting too damn old for this crap!

Then said "Boo! Trump!"

I mean it's really too boring without it. Sigh. This sounds like a propaganda show to which the actors had been instructed to support the "leader" and forced to march up on to stage..

I know, I am just having a dream vision of what democracy could look like. I wished my dream could come through, but it just doesn't. Never. Something is wrong with my dream.

because it is a propaganda show.

None of these speakers is saying anything of substance. All empty words about being "stronger together" and a bunch of other meaningless bullshit.

About the applause. Good, indeed.

Not that it will matter regarding the outcome.

Listening to the speakers end with "and God Bless the United States of America," reminded me that Trump did not say that. Maybe I am the only one who listened to him to the end. At the end of his speech he said,

"God Bless You."

and then when you expected him to follow with "and God Bless the USA," he said instead:

"I love you."

That was how he ended.

Some may think the omission means he's a Russian spy and hates America. I found it refreshing.

It may not be a post-RNC bounce, but political analyst and statistician Nate Silver’s latest forecast of the presidential election shows Donald Trump leading Hillary Clinton with a shocking 15 percentage point-greater chance of winning if the general election were held today.

I expect that Hill will get a post-convention Thrump. Five-thirty-eight has him leading her by four points!

...if that happens. this week will not end well for the party despite all the convention platitudes.

up

Almost every single speaker has offered platitudes and made promises that the party doesn't intend to keep. Do they really think that people are falling for this? Half the speakers were talking about things that weren't even in the party platform because Hillary's goon squad voted it down. It's so content-free that it's ridiculous. This entire convention so far has felt like an extended stream of talking points punctuated by "something something scary Trump" and "vote for Hillary."

CNN is saying that Bernie is going to give a "full throated" endorsement of HRC tonight during his speech. If that happens, he's lost me.

With a grain of salt.

Personally, I expect much the same as his speech to his delegates earlier today. I could be wrong, but the zeal with which everyone seems to be insisting that it will be a full-throated endorsement reads to me like they're worried. Especially since (Podesta? Mook? I forget which one) said the HRC campaign hasn't reviewed its content.

Just my opinion, and I'm likely to be wrong.

I think of all those hard working Americans, who believes that everybody should get a fair and equal chance, no matter where he or his parents came from, that all those people, those frigging lying speakers on the stage are constantly referring to, are getting profoundly betrayed. All of those stage speakers are frigging cowards and feet kissing sycophants to "dear leader". It's amazing to watch and it's even worse to feel the amount of betrayal.

I am angry about all the $27.00 dollar donations they, these poor hard-working people, who believed in Sanders message and his seriousness, made and are now being wasted for absolutely nothing.

Sanders has to live with what he made out of the support he was given by the people. I wait til the last words have been said on this convention, but I feel a lot of anger for the first time really bubble up in my guts. I am a very slow person and it takes a long time for me to give in to anger. But I can't just forget how many people he has betrayed. I don't even think that Sanders is able to lead a movement that represents the policies he campaigned on anymore. If he hadn't give his endorsement up front many of those people, who speak right now, could have made statements in his support. Now they can't they have to buy into the Clinton kabuki theater. Unforgivable, imo.

I live a life that is very isolated from American people, so I have no feeling if the average voter or those, who don't even care to vote, really believe in all the kabuki and baloney the "good Democrats" on the stage try to sell them.

So, I won't make judgments. I just don't understand why they believe in "unity", when there reality is none, beginning the first day after the GE.

Yes, I am sick and tired of all those "personal stories" that should make your heart melt. I hate the show. I will never understand how parents can agree on using their kids to make statements on a political circus show. A little less would be more.

Sorry I had to vent.
