Are you prepared to create & wield political power. I am, and I will will tell you how....

What did Bernie just show us all? WE ARE THE CAMPAIGN......

Bernies online campaign tools are an exponential leap beyond anything we've seen. What do we do now? Learn field operations, run for office. Attend a Camp Wellstone campaign training. If you want to wield political power, you need to know how to run a campaign. If you're going to run for office you need to learn how to be a candidate.

Field operations is the creation and management of voter contacts. Studies show that direct voter contact is the most powerful persuasion tool available to sway voters to voter for vote for your candidate. If you don't know by now I am deeply involved in campaign field operations and for Bernie I wore many hats, County Field Director, Communications and Latino Outreach.

Roger Fox began building his political resume at 14, volunteering on George McGovern's 1972 presidential campaign.

In 2004, the 58-year-old Harrison resident was a paid staffer in Broward County, Fla., for John Kerry's presidential campaign. Since then, he's been involved in 14 political races throughout the East Coast.

Today, he's a point man for Bernie Sanders in Westchester County.

Zack Exely and Corbin Trent formerly of Bernie 2016 are now BrandNewCongress.org and they are not fucking around. They have the same tools as Bernie did, and all the lessons learned to develop the next generation of tools. By tools I mean fundraising and field operations and thats how we win. They are offering us the complete package needed to flip congress in 2018. I am on 3 teams at BNC, there are conference calls every week and we need your help, in any variety of ways.

Now its up to us to stop fucking around. YOU need to run campaigns, YOU need to run for office. Bernie 2016 developed unprecedentedly powerful campaign organizing tools, and now Brand New Congress offers us the opportunity to use these tools as we look to 2018.

Without the skill set to wield political power, nothing else matters. Should you stay a democrat? Should we start a 3rd party? I don't give 2 shits about that. I wielded true political power in Westchester County NY, Hillary's backyard. So much so the press sought me and my team out. I did so after moving into the area 4 months earlier, I had no existing network.

It's something my son can use too. He'll be 18 in December, so won't be able to vote this time, but he's been following Bernie, and watching his videos since the unknown underdog entered the race. He's also been invited to attend a type of political summer camp in Austin this summer where they're divided into parties, and have elections and debates.

He's really going to like this essay and the linked tools. Thanks, Roger!

Great to have you around Roger.

Besides Tim Canova work, I'm interested if Berners could get results quickly in college towns with historically low turnout mid-term elections.
Superior social media efforts and fund raising might swamp the opposition in these districts.

What impressed me most about a Bernie rally was the thousands of cell phones held up taking pictures and videos (have some on mine) that were instantly spread far and wide.

In see this as a strategic advantage.

And beyond.

US Americans are not going to out to the streets to create a movement. In the US, streets were designed for cars, not people. They're going to revolt in place. And the revolution will come to them. The propaganda blast of the media monopolies already has the zero-plasticity brains in thrall. Top shelf brains are moved by the human connection — the kind that doesn't come out of a can.

Impressive work, Roger. This has moved the vote; the sheer force of it, earlier, and now the momentum of it as a best practice. It works locally and it scales nationally.

::

On another note: The Federal government is a privatized organization. It works regardless of how you vote. No matter who you send to Washington, if they last more than one term, they will come back a multi-millionaire, every time.

The domestic mission of the Federal government is to distract and pacify by tossing inexpensive social-issue victories to the people and their activists. US Americans are a cheap date as far as national citizens go. You can loot their commonwealth and privatize their resources and services, and they never demand globally-established human rights for themselves. (Endowed human rights are not included in their antiquated constitution.)

The Federal government's primary directive is to drink the world's milkshake by breaking all nations to the rulership advantage of the US Empire and it's corporate owners. All nations are required to surrender their natural resources for privatization by US affiliated corporations, who will take it from there. Nations that resist will be destroyed, on the US worker's dime.

Voting in Federal elections won't change that reality. We are engulfed in it. Weapons and weaponized finance are the chief export of the US. It keeps the lights on at home. This enterprise is the largest US employer, by far. And the Federal Cartel underwrites almost all US innovation with Federal revenues (although the profits that result are privatized). The Elite and their venture capital funds buy shares, instead. The old fashioned way.

Only the rest of the world, working in concert, can stop Empire. If they don't, US Americans will continue their descent into the indentured workcamp that backs the US Dollar, now that the Petrodollar is dead. US workers are isolated from the world by two vast oceans. Their distress can be safely ignored, in the same way that US workers, collectively, ignore the horrific global destruction and massive social dislocation that they directly fund. Out of sight, out of mind works both ways. Indeed, US workers do not even have a political Party that represents them — and no one is keeping that a secret.

But, US Americans are not squealing about their complete lack of common human rights, which is an international disgrace, btw. So why would they squeal about their lack of common workers rights and benefits, along with the now thorough absense of political representation?

This is the direct result of 50 years of "voting" at the Federal level.

Well said. Very conceptual summation in 2 sentences.

Perhaps it was you, Roger, who mentioned BNC on C99% a few weeks ago, but I followed the link IMMEDIATELY.

I've been so very impressed w/ the technological tools we have with Bernie's campaign that we didn't dream of in 2008. We can handle data so much more efficiently online now and the entirely networked structure is a real strength. Canvassing and phone banking through the volunteers' own cellphones is just so impressive to me.

Good times ahead for Educating, Agitating and Organizing!

The national campaign showed up en masse 2 weeks ago and we're doing our own very local lists and the nationally generated lists simultaneously. I'm pretty sure we'll be rocking this process by 2018.

then you can go to organize.berniesanders.com

This takes you to ground control, its like a dash board. You can call local vols to get them to your event, or use the Fast Forward email blaster to notify local vols in a 30 mile radius, up to 250 emails will be sent out for your event.

I just haven't created events of my own since I live up in West By-God-Yonder in a redwood forest. I go into town for events and do phone banking and vol calls from home.

Sweet, sweet tools for an aging Lefty!
