At least that is where it appears we are headed.
When I say that Turkey is openly defying U.S. sanctions, I don't mean it in one particular way.
I mean that Turkey is defying U.S. sanctions in four different ways.
It appears that Turkey is intentionally antagonizing Washington. As if they are daring Washington to do something about it.
Washington doesn't ask the Syrian Kurds for much. Not really. We only want them to passively step aside for their enemies to rape and pillage.
It looks like Turkey and NATO are about to undergo an ugly divorce.

A couple months ago the Trump Administration revealed that they planned massive mission creep in Syria, with the objective of getting Iranian forces out of Syria.
The fly in the ointment has been Turkey's hostility to the Syrian Kurds, our primary allies in Syria.
This is escalating fast.
