Back in January the United States received a bit of humbling news.
Back in December former Sen. Joe Lieberman gave what he probably considered a dire warning.

The European Court of Human Rights has issued a ruling in the case of A.P., Garçon and Nicot v.
Duuuuuude! Ours, too!

(or at least according to Amazon) is a new book, Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton's Doomed Campaign. This book is no doubt for those who are still amazed at what a loser Clinton was and is.

There's a short essay going around the tubes titled "Fuck the U.S.A.!" It's a good rant, an angry rant.
"I want to scream. I want to scream. To separate from this. This government, this country.
The world shouldn’t have to suffer one more day of American exceptionalism.
Last year was a bad year for Obamacare. This year Obamacare might simply stop being available in many areas.


I know it's all the fashion in politics today to call for regime change in Syria, and who doesn't like the idea of yet another chaotic, Mad Max-style failed state, amirite?
But I'm an old-fashioned kind of guy, and one of those old-fashioned ideas is that people should chose their own government. I know that self-determination is out of style in mainstream Democratic circles, but humor me anyway.
The question is: How do we determine what the Syrian people want?
