The 2016 primary follies reached a new low when a well-known blogger made an unsupported statement suggesting the Democratic Party establishment was contemplating suicide by Plan B. This statement can only damage whichever candidate wins the nomination, because it implicitly declares that the Democratic Party establishment, including nearly all of the superdelegates, are a bunch of undemocratic idiots.
