Resilience: Suburban Permaculture Homesteading 3/3

Lately I've been looking into installing solar panels.
My house faces east, with the peak of the roof running east-west so I have a pretty good stretch of roof that is south-facing. However my neighbour to the south has a pretty tall maple tree -- at least as tall as my house -- so I'm not sure whether that would affect efficiency. A similar tree on the neighbour's property behind me might block any southwest-facing panels.
Welcome to Sunday Brunch. This is an open thread so grab a seat and let us know what is new you.
Damn mistake to go through the recent diary list on dailykos. Of course I had to sneak into one that got over 1000 comments (huzzah Markos, it's good for your business, congratulations).
I am honest here, that was a diary and comment thread, which makes me want to move to a place somewhere over the rainbow. You expect me to write a real essay about it? No, I can't, I am just too tired of life in the "incrementalist's dream world". I rather go fishing.
I couldn't be happier. One of my kids (the one on the ISIS hit list, not the one that got purged from the voting list) got me a Bernie tote!!! Way better than that Bernie button I've been wearing for the past 6 months, cause you can see it from much farther away! Love to all you moms out there, and a reminder to the rest of you to call home. ![]()

So, I've been a bit absent the last few days from the internet because I've been a tad busy. Building my computer, as documented in my "Hot Rod" Essays. But Now that it's all said and done, I have a few philosophical thoughts.
or Hillary Clinton.

If you missed it, the SNL news dude was saying (the white one) that we have two such disliked candidates, it was like,
you go to the restaurant but all the restaurant has left is Pumpkin corn chowder and .. Hillary Clinton.
Been awhile since they got me to laugh that loud.
Sorry, this is just a little rant. I must get it out or I might explode, and I just vacuumed the living room and I don't want to create another mess!!
It is getting ridiculous over at DKos. If you make a pro-Bernie, or anti-HRC comment, the Shillary folks start swariming over you like flies on shit. It's ridiculous! It's almost like they can smell the win, and are circling like sharks to cut down, denigrate and demoralize the losing side!!
Google is arguably the first tool that most people use to inform themselves about presidential candidates and election issues. People often use Google Search to ask political questions, while Google tries to guess the question and complete it while the user is still typing. The AI (artificially intelligent) algorithm Google employs for this feature is keyed to many environmental variables, but the most influential are terms and topics that are trending.
Thus, we come to Donald Trump. These days, people are searching his name often, and one of the most frequent questions they ask appears to be:
Is donald trump a republican or democrat?
The American people just aren't certain.
Let's just be honest about the situation regarding this electoral clusterfuck: Democratic voters support Hillary Clinton because they're afraid, well, mostly. They're afraid that unless Clinton wins, the Supreme Court will be stacked full of wingnuts who will destroy everything. But what's there to destroy at this point? The Repigs and the Dems have both had their hand in this destruction of the commons for decades.
