Vote By Mail

          Okay, my second article will be about the other thing, this is more important, trust me.

          If every state did this and We The People decided we really want Real change, we would be able to elect (over the objections of our Monarch as well as the DNC) Bernie Sanders.

          Every voter should be able to vote as easily as we can in the state of Oregon.

I can only respond with, "What the fuck are you saying?"

          Much like I would put the question to Trump, if he indeed said:

Aww, Doc Price, you should know better than for you, a rational English speaker, to attempt to understand Gibberish! Only native-born Gibbers can do that!

ballot for several years now. I do have to regularly request one to be sent, but it is done via the internet and I have never had a problem doing so. In fact, absentee ballots are now called vote by mail in my state (Florida). We should be making it easier to vote, not harder. Voting by mail not only makes it easier, but it also more cost effective to local governments based upon reports of years of vote by mail in Oregon.

Colorado likewise. In fact, Colorado and her subordinate governments saved so much money going to vote-by-mail that most local elections in the State are now vote-by-mail only.

WI voting will be in person. We are validating and updating polling locations, but I wish every state had WAs mail only voting. Since we don’t yet, we have to do this work, but it is demoralising because you don’t want to encourage group activities but you also don’t want to disenfranchise anyone. Scylla and Charybdis...

@Hawkfish
as use those voting machines that the young are enamored with.
Election after election, I see a line of voters waiting for a machine, while the paper ballot stands are empty. I always use the paper ballot. If we go all machine, might as vote via internet from home.

@The Voice In the Wilderness is that there is a paper record that can be publicly counted or recounted in case anything is questioned. Personally, I think that is an important distinction at the moment. If we ever get to a society where we can be truly trustful or figure out a way that hacking isn't possible, maybe we could think about going full electronic. For now, I don't trust the bastards one wit. I have voted by mail for years in Oregon, and frankly, I don't trust the numbers from other states.

@Battle of Blair Mountain Don't they use tabulators? Anything but publicly hand-counted ballots is illegitimate.
