Trump - Saudi Arabia is a "Spectacular Ally"

saudi arabia .jpg

I've been a strong critic of the creature they call Trump since I was forced to pay attention to the bastard prior to the last fraudulent presidential election. I caught on to his game early on and he doesn't fool me one bit. (But, FYI - I once wrote essays titled, "Hillary Clinton is the Devil" and "Obama is a War Criminal". Sorry, I guess I'm just hard to please).

I haven't paid much attention to the killing of Jamal Khashoggi and all the tentacles of that story, but this latest information about Trump caught my eye. This last weekend he evidently called Saudi Arabia a "spectacular ally".

Saudi Arabia. Spectacular.

"President Trump on Saturday lauded Saudi Arabia as a “spectacular ally” and downplayed reports that the CIA believes Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was directly involved in the killing of Jamal Khashoggi—a crime for which 17 Saudi officials were hit with U.S. sanctions earlier this week. The president made the comments while speaking to reporters on the South Lawn of the White House early Saturday, saying he had not yet been briefed on the CIA’s assessment of Khashoggi’s death, but expected to speak to intelligence officials later Saturday. The Washington Post reported Friday that the CIA has provided a report detailing evidence of the crown prince’s involvement in Khashoggi’s murder at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul and said it has “high confidence” he ordered the murder. Asked about those claims, Trump said, “As of this moment we were told that he did not play a role.” His comments come after sources cited by the Post said Trump has appeared reluctant to place any blame on the crown prince, even after being shown evidence that Mohammed orchestrated the killing. The president has also reportedly asked CIA and State Department officials where Khashoggi’s body is and become frustrated when they could not provide an answer."

Of course, the problem is the deep state itself was standing right behind Trump as he spoke to the press. I saw a photo that was posted on a conspiracy theory blog that clearly showed an ugly looking apparition hovering right over Trump's left shoulder. The image was clearly that of the deep state, the hideously evil presence that has taken over control of our government and country and seeks to end American life itself.

Because if it wasn't for that deep state influence on everything Trump does and says, he would have told the truth, that Saudi Arabia is controlled by a murderous, racist, misogynist, greedy lunatic sect that Trump himself has said was responsible for 9/11.

Actually, anyone that believes Trump didn't know all this going in really are underestimating his intelligence, that there is.

https://thefreethoughtproject.com/donald-trump-said-saudi-arabia-was-beh...

So ya, Donald, the country that was behind 9/11 ("um, that's not entirely accurate, ahem, Israel and the United States itself, we're looking at you.) is a spectacular ally. Come to think of it, and very strongly according to Donald, so is murderous apartheid state they call Israel.

Well. How does that add up to anything but, fucking traitor. We have a fucking traitor for president.

The big problem is, Hillary Clinton is the devil.

How did we get into this mess?

personality disorder (narcissist, borderline, megalomania, etc.), the attention span of a 4 year old, and completely disconnected from reality... then I have to say, he’s the best actor ever.

He *never* breaks character. He always sounds nuts, and out of his mind, every time he says anything. He changes his positions at a whim, every five minutes. I can’t imagine how to take seriously *anything* he says, or said when running for president. He continually lies and makes up random shit and speaks without a clue. He only seems to care about ratings, attention and adoration, getting richer, and doing and saying whatever the fuck he wants. Because he’s Donald Trump. And he’s rich, and “when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything...”

This man is a menace and dangerous. I still think he’s not acting, I think he really believes his own bullshit about how great he is, and he knows he can say and do anything, but he hasn’t got a damn clue what he’s doing. An unstable self obsessed moron is president. And he’ll probably be re-elected in two years.

No I don’t think for a minute that he’s a would-be hero who is thwarted by the deep state. I do think there’s a shadow government that is non-public and across administrations, changing presidents and parties matters little, this shadow government exerts a lot of pressure on the president. But that does not mean trump would be any kind of savior if only they would let him. To whatever degree he is being contained, in his particular case it’s probably for the best. Left to himself he’d drive right off a cliff in short order.

probably be re-elected in two years."

Isn't that the truth. I remember discussing this before he was elected, i.e., how the contest between him and Clinton pointed directly to a failed political system.
It's hard to get people to focus on the system itself when all the focus is on the actors involved.

while prosecuting others for their violations which just shows how hypocritical it is. Meanwhile Pompous Pompeo accused Iran of being the biggest sponsors of terror and was so full of hypocrisy that I can't believe he wasn't laughed out of the room.

Pompeo denounced Iran’s tyrannical regime for “[forty] years of kleptocracy. Forty years of the people’s wealth squandered on supporting terrorism."

Pompeo noted that one-third of Iranians live in poverty and a third of Iranian youth remain unemployed.

Pompeo blasted the clerical regime, which has hidden behind Islamist revolutionary slogans while siphoning off Iran’s oil wealth: “These hypocritical holy men have devised all kinds of crooked schemes to become some of the wealthiest men on Earth while their people suffer.”

This just takes hubris and arrogance to say this with a straight face.

Pompeo explained that “because fighting the United States and destroying Israel is at the core of the regime’s ideology, it has committed and supported many acts of violence and terrorism against both countries,” including killing over 1,000 American military personnel in Iraq with Iranian-made explosive devices.

Hmm, have I missed those attacks on us by Iran?

How many countries have we invaded and destroyed with Israel's blessings? How many millions of people have we killed since WWII? 30,000,000 and counting.

Now let's talk about Saudi Arabia and their human rights violations and supporting terrorists shall we?

Saudi Arabia “Most Significant Source Of Funding To Terrorist Groups Worldwide”

While the Saudi military continues to besiege Yemen and create the worst humanitarian crisis on the planet today, the United States also continues to arm and abet KSA in their war against the Yemeni people.

The Saudis, because of their oil and money, are untouchables. KSA can kill journalists in an open and brutal fashion, chop off heads in the city square, oppress its female population like no other country in the world, and launch unjustified wars with no consequence. KSA can even fund and direct terrorist organizations across the world with very little restraint.

In terms of money alone, however, Saudi Arabia is unparalleled in the ranks of nations that finance terrorism. In fact, in a leaked 2009 State Department cable and published by WikiLeaks, the United States referred to KSA as the “most significant source of funding to Sunni terrorist groups worldwide.”

The cable, signed by then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, states that Saudi Arabia “remains a critical financial support base for al-Qaida, the Taliban, LeT and other terrorist groups.” See “Terrorist Finance: Action Request For Senior Level Engagement On Terrorist Finance.”

We could also talk about how Israel, U.K., France, Germany and other countries also financed terrorism as has been documented here many times.

We have a fucking traitor for president. Yup. And another war criminal, but then every president has most probably been one too.

At risk of over-simplification I'll offer my answers.

First, The GOP is better than the Democrats at long range planning and goal setting. They have been able to think past any single election. The biggest goal of the Republicans, imho, was gaining control of the courts and the electorate.

All the courts. During the 2010 midterms I observed the sleepy democratic efforts with growing dismay. Obama's campaign was a feeble claim that "the GOP drove us into the ditch and we shouldn't give them the keys back." This, in the face of the Tea Party Extravaganza the Repubs brought to our TV screens every day and night. The democrats stood by and let that election simply slip away.

2010 was a census year and the GOP wave brought gerrymandering to a new level. That was the plan and it was a pleasant surprise that the democrats were able to thwart that this year.

President Obama nominated Merrick Garland when the Obama term had 293 days left to serve. Do you recall a single protest march, sit-in or large scale demonstration as Mr. Garland was humiliated every day that Senators refused to take private meetings with him and Mitch McConnell refused to bring the President's nomination to a vote? When Brent Kavanaugh was threatened, oh my, quite a different story. Now, in the lame duck session I expect McConnell to get another batch of conservative judges seated in courts throughout the country.

Stepping back into a larger point of reference, I can see that the conflict between the parties is bogus and that the uniparty, oligarchic, corporate rule by the wealthiest amongst us is the long term goal and it has pretty much been achieved.

Trump is as unfit as we all can see. But he's pushed the ball up the field in a satisfactory manner and his party will keep him in the game as long as they can.

So, Thanksgiving should be interesting in that the kid's car needs extensive maintenance while home and I'm the guy that does it. Which means I Have to be here this year. Full disclaimer; I HATE the holidays with quiet rage so being png'd is no big deal for me. However, this year could be Fun!

Saudi Arabia IS viewed as a spectacular ally. That's what the United States government truly believes, regardless of which party holds the White House. It doesn't matter that they're responsible for 9/11, it doesn't matter that they kill journalists and treat women as subhuman. Saudi Arabia has been BFFs with the US for nearly a century, and that's unlikely to change no matter what they do. After all, they're the bulwark against Iran and all other forces of evil in the world, such as Yemen and Syria.
