Trump Foundation = Clinton Foundation
While the Russiagate stuff was always absurd, allegations of corruption and fraud against Trump are entirely believable. Remember that this is the guy who founded Trump University.
Is it really any surprise that the guy who wanted Hillary locked up for her corrupt Clinton Foundation would be doing some of the same shenanigans with the Trump Foundation?
President Trump has agreed to shut down his embattled personal charity and to give away its remaining money amid allegations that he used the foundation for his personal and political benefit, New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood announced Tuesday...
The suit, filed in June, alleged “persistently illegal conduct” at the foundation and sought to have it shut down. Underwood is continuing to seek more than $2.8 million in restitution and has asked a judge to ban the Trumps temporarily from serving on the boards of other New York nonprofit organizations.Underwood said Tuesday that her investigation found “a shocking pattern of illegality involving the Trump Foundation — including unlawful coordination with the Trump presidential campaign, repeated and willful self-dealing, and much more.”

The shuttering comes after The Washington Post documented apparent lapses at the foundation. Trump used the charity’s money to pay legal settlements for his private business, to purchase art for one of his clubs and to make a prohibited political donation.Trump denied that the organization had done anything wrong. In late 2016, he said he wanted to close the foundation, but the New York attorney general blocked that move while it investigated.
The settlement with Underwood’s office represents a concession by Trump to a state investigation he decried as a partisan attack.

It's only a matter of time, now that the Dems have the House, before the full extent of Trump's corruption is exposed. Seriously, this is Trump we are talking about. How complicated could it be?
My concern is how Trump will react when his legal problems become too daunting. His first instinct will be to distract, and that will probably mean dropping bombs on someone.
After all, we are talking about someone who ran as a "strongman".
Plus the economy is likely to turn down next year, so what will he have left when he's staring at a recession?
War will be his only political option.

Of course, Trump is a sleaze, but we were already at war
all over the Middle East before Trump took office.
Illegal wars at that: The Constitution specifies what must happen before the US goes to war. And it isn't just getting a wink and a nod from the Speaker of the House and the Senate Majority Leader.
Not to mention serial drone murders in numbers Bush Cheney only drooled over.
As for Trump being POTUS, three words: Pied Piper Strategy. Same at the one McCaskill used to win in Missouri, but on steroids. What kind of POS risks exposing the country to the worst possible candidate on the alleged other side in order to increase her chances of getting what she wants? It's about Iran

the neocons would still be pushing for war with Iran regardless of who is in office. IMO, the deep state war machine operates on its own course. This is PNAC being enacted afterall. If the occupant of the Oval Office goes against the war machine, he is either neutralized or offed.
As for the Trump Foundation, no surprises here. If they want to get Trump on his foundation, I am all for it. The problem is that most of these foundations are self serving. And I hope they go after every other foundation out there which would probably end up being nearly every one of them.

Every person in congress probably has a foundation for hiding their money. Haven't heard anything about them donating funds to help us rubes after natural disasters has anyone?

I will place a bet on endless executives actions that continue undoing anything anyone in the past 200+ years has accomplished. So far he has shown that he is non-partisan in destroying previous president's legacies, including but not limited to Obama, Reagan, FDR, Teddy Roosevelt, Kennedy, etc. etc.
I think the underlying intent is to eliminate democracy all together. After all, democracy does not support corporate ends (or didn't).

Merkel will not run again, same with May, Macron and Pelosi. It's time for Trump to join the exclusive club in the penthouse suite and make the move. Best for all, and he must feel the walls closing in. Still, I can't see the investigations stopping. I would hope that this does not result in Pence being in position for the office in 2020. Ugh! I think that the only way out of this political quagmire is for the Democrats to nominate a real, fire breathing, progressive candidate for POTUS, and that she/he gets a mandate. For one thing, the Climate Emergency requires this. We don't have any time to delay.
