About 20 miles East of Burns (Yep, that Burns) we saw a lone Greater Sandhill Crane. It looked lonely, but hopeful. (much projection?).
Many of my fellow westerners have a rather provincial "understanding" of the role of gubmint in their lives and all that nonsense flowed over me as we passed Burns yesterday, and I thought of oh so many more things to write. I think this place will be good for kicking my creative thought processes into high gear.
If not for the obstructions you could see our Medford home about five blocks over there towards Roxy Ann Peak.
