I am still in Revolt

Watching the party apparatus close the doors with a deafening clang with we are all one, Kumbaya, look it's a love in! Bleech.

The problem with revolutionary ideas is that they belong to nobody, they are not just shut down with words, they demand actions.

Matt Taibbi gets this:

This was no ordinary primary race, not a contest between warring factions within the party establishment, á la Obama-Clinton in '08 or even Gore-Bradley in '00. This was a barely quelled revolt that ought to have sent shock waves up and down the party, especially since the Vote of No Confidence overwhelmingly came from the next generation of voters. Yet editorialists mostly drew the opposite conclusion.

If history is to be our guide then it is littered with broken promises, it is littered with lies and deception, at best we end up with is business as usual. The end result is decimation of the middle classes and the bloated wallets of the extraordinarily wealthy. Everything is organised to enrich the wealthy further, if it benefits anyone else, it's by accident, not design.

They can talk about how they did a listening tour all they like, the might even have heard the distant muted shouting above the clink of glasses at the gold plate dinner party. They are going to dump $billions worth of publicity on us telling us how they are in it for us, when the reconvene in 115th congress how much they have said will be instantly forgotten, the best we can hope for [from psst experience] is another congressional stand-off before they go on holiday and start the next election cycle, sometime mid-February 2017.

I understand shattered glass ceilings, the joy of the "win" but now comes the real test, will you sell us down the river as usual, or will you actually change the system? Past experience indicates we will be bombarded by excuses; in the current political situation it's just impractical, impossible and you expect us to work for you? Ha ha ha, grow up and manage your expectations children! You're just needy let the adults handle this, please send your donations. we must win in 2018, cuz scary scary!!!

My warning to the elite is that if you manage to reach our expectations of you then next time around the block it's going to get a whole lot worse. Vermont allows write in voting and all ballots are counted, what I write is up to me and it will not be the choice of the DP of that I am 100% sure. I don't believe any of your bullshit any more, as for the right they can go to hell on the same bloody bus.

As i say revolutions can be messy and this one is still in the starting blocks.

and dishearteningly sad that PTB seem to hold the cards. As far a glass ceilings go, I have skylights, glass in my ceilings and it gets dirty. Much dirtier on the top than the bottom. And I do not want those broken.

I have also thought to myself "sold down the river, again."

Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.

I've been told by a few in the AA community that my "white privilege" does not entitle me to use references to slavery. What would be the point of talking about indentured servants, like Ben Franklin. My father felt betrayed by union leaders time and time again, see NAFTA.

If us privileged whites feel like indentured servants at best, slaves and chattel at most and some of the Black community is sneering at us, we are doomed. I hoped we could find common ground.

Continue to fight within the system and 'occupy' the Democratic Party and attempt to eject the entrenched politicians and party elite, or you try and fight from outside the system/third party. While I feel no allegiance to the Democratic Party any more, I will likely remain registered as one for convenience. That said, will never cast a vote for a corporate politician again, even if they have no primary challenger. Eventually we might end up with a party that actually represents the people and not corporate/wealthy financiers.

If enough people do the same, this brand of politician will hopefully disappear. I will be helping out BrandNewCongress.org as well to see if we can get this ball rolling. Let's face it, if the 'captains' on your team are taking the wrong approach (and I think we all witnessed the abuse of power from many of our Congresspeople) then it is time to get new captains.

And they're bulletproof. (To paraphrase "V" in V for Vendetta)

People, alas, are not.

However, I see no reason to quit shouting until the bullets are actually flying.

The confluence of the rigging, the call b/f CA voted, the disenfranchised voters, Warren, slow-walking emails and finally Potus endorsement pushed me over the edge. I'm done with the party.

And to top it off, got a Robo-call from $hillary w her recorded voice telling me about some potential (human potential) then another woman (robo) saying press #1 to donate. Ha ha ha. I'm out. Couldn't wait. Divorce papers filed.
