The Weekly Watch
Trusted Sources?

I'm at the Florida Folk Festival this weekend, and so I don't have my usual geopolitical news review. I've written here about the festival, so today I thought I might discuss the sources of news I try to review every week to put together the WW after showing a brief clip about the festival.
So we're leaving Wednesday morning, and so far the Donald hasn't triggered a new round of attacks on Iran. I hope that's the case next week when we get back home. Larry Johnson suggested that Saudi Arabia and Kuwait hold the key. If they refuse the US air access then there can be no attack. If that is the case the question remains will they stick to it. Here's hoping...
If you want to know the details check out some of these channels and interviews. I don't agree with everything the hosts and guest say but I learn from them. The watch focuses on video coverage but also some print media. I try to check out the following channels:
The Duran and Alex Christoforou
Judging Freedom with Judge Napolitano
Larry Johnson's Counter currents and and his website Sonar21
George Galloway and his Mother of All Talk shows on Sundays and Wednesdays
Most of these host also have substack accounts so you can follow them in print. They interview many of the same guests, most of whom also write on substack.
Print sources I try to check out include:
https://www.moonofalabama.org/
https://www.theautomaticearth.com/ (a bit too pro-Trump for my tastes, but has interesting items none the less.)
https://caityjohnstone.medium.com/ has good op ed content
What are your favorite sources which I didn't mention?

Comments
Hey, sounds like a kicken' fest
.
10 stages and 300 performers is a lot to take in.
Imagine the vibe is mellow, being folk and all.
I also check out most of your listed sources and listen to
many of the hosts. Some additional sites to get non-mainstream
coverage include:
The Unz Review
Al Jazeera
Al Mayadeen
Orinoco Tribune
Tass
teleSUR
Asia Times
The Cradle
South China Morning Post
Inside China Business
Pepe Escobar
hmm ...
It would appear I spend a lot of time in this sphere.
Enjoy your music!
Zionism is a social disease
Good morning, LO!
That festival sounds like your perfect bailiwick, friend. No way you couldn't be having fun.
I have mentioned I visit a few rwnj sites. An example is The Gateway Pundit, which was created by Israel. Every bit of info is slanted hard right and pro-Zionist, but it has a limited value because they are typically the first to post an article about some news event. It might be a shooting or jury verdict, or a statement made by a government official from anywhere in the world. They will post it before Google News does.
Zerohedge is another, but it seems they have commenters who are getting off the MAGA Train. Very Zionist, but the commenters not so much.
The Burning Platform is embarrassingly full of racist commenters, but their front page typically features financial analyses, and features articles by Greenwald, Larry Johnson, Judge Nap, etc...The commenters are also leaving The Trump Train and are anti-Zionists.
A Midwestern Doctor, Consortium News, Scheerpost, Chris Hedges, Lee Camp, RT, Mondoweiss, Simplicious,
The Corbett Report, are just a few I typically check out routinely.
Well, my coffee is especially good this morning, so I hope that portends a nice day. I wish for you and all of us to have a fun and relaxing day.

Just thought I'd post this because "news" regarding the
attack on Kiev is already being aired.
be well and have a good one

I like these sources as well
I check them out as well as those sources mentioned above, most of which I also follow. I also like to check out: Daniel Davis; Lena Petrovka (World affairs in context); Cyrus Jansen; Breaking Points; Neutrality Studies; Breakthrough News; Carl Zha, strait talk with Xiangyu (Taiwan)
I follow Hankyoreh (English language), Asahi, Simone Chun, Raphael Rashid, Jeffrey Hall, Jake Adelstein, and "Aqua" on X. Everyone knows I follow Tim Shorrock now on Bluesky. I read their journalism as well.
As usual this means I appreciate their guests and perspectives, not necessarily agreeing with all their guests or views respectively. I will listen to Shaun Rein or Chas Freeman anytime they speak out on China.
Appreciate the music history LO. I love north Florida and south Georgia. It's was wonderful to live in north and central Florida, enjoying its natural environment, its lakes, coastal environments and waterways. Fishing, boating and visiting great state parks, beaches and waterways was an important part of our lives. Not many people are as familiar as you are with the culture here. Particularly appreciate the musical background of Jimmy Buffet.

This is a public service Open Thread. What a great idea.
Learning the possible news and information sources of various posters and commenters is so appreciated. I have to admit I listen to podcasts when I'm gardening or chopping fruits and vegetables. I read some but often rely on block quotes such as the ones Joe puts in the News and Blues.
I have found that even though I get heartburn, or want to ring someone's neck reading or listening to people I sometimes vehemently disagree with on some subjects can be helpful to understanding a different point of view.
I read Coffee and Covid by Jeff Childers almost daily. His views on homelessness leave vast canyons of to me incorrect understanding of why and how people are homeless. His views on Israel and ME neighbor also full of asshatery. His readers to their credit disagree with him openly. When I want to wring his neck, I carry on because I find the source unredacted and unashamed real reactions to current states of things.
That being said, when he speaks eloquently on a news topic especially in the medical arena I find I agree with him often. He can be so right and so wrong. His writing style is like conversation: when he's on a role I laugh out loud which is rare for me.
There are a few others like Robert Barnes another lawyer. As I remember it he took the famous Amish farmer's case pro bono.
Childers has fought in federal courts for basic rights. He is currently involved in vaccine lawsuits.
The rest of my sources are mostly the same as LO's first list.
We can't see anything Rumble here in France and we are screened from some Russian and Chinese sources because you know, hate. We can use VPNs but they cause some other disruptions.
Thanks to anyone who contributes more sources.

This video
was posted on The Burning Platform. Thomas Massie being interviewed. Since he was interviewed, he list his seat in a primary. Over 87,000 mail in votes, over 83,000 of those were for his opponent. Nothing to see here.

So close to a peace agreement yet so far away thanks to Bibi
Once again it shows that Bibi controls Trump!
But after one phone call.
The rest of the tweet:
Did Trump TACO on a final agreement due to pressure from
Israel and American neocons?
