Hey! Good Morning!

400 Million Free N95 Face Masks Are Being Dispensed — Here’s How To Get Yours

The Biden administration aims to make 400 million N95 masks available to all Americans for free at pharmacies and community health centers next week, a White House official said per The Wall Street Journal. The masks will be coming from the Strategic National Stockpile, the national repository of critical medical supplies. The program will be fully up and running by early February. ...

Three masks will be available per person, according to the official, and most of the pharmacies that are part of the federal pharmacy vaccine program will distribute the masks.

New York and other north-eastern US states see a rapid fall in Covid cases

New York City and some north-eastern US states appear to be seeing rapid decreases in their numbers of Covid-19 cases in recent days, raising the possibility that the Omicron wave has now already peaked in some parts of America.

In New York City the rolling seven-day average of new cases was less than 28,000 a day on 16 January, down from an average of more than 40,000 on 9 January. Similar patterns were being observed in the state as a whole and other nearby regions. ...

Some 400,000 tests were conducted in New York on Saturday, with a positivity rate of 12.9%. Just one week ago, on a similar number of tests, the positivity rate was almost 20%. The state reported 51,264 new cases on Saturday, down from the peak of more than 90,000 a week earlier, according to a New York Times database. The number of people hospitalized fell for a fourth straight day.

Several other north-east states – including New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island – may be heading in a similar, down-trending direction.

Covid cases 'drop significantly' in Africa, WHO says

Cases of Covid have sharply declined in Africa and deaths are declining for the first time since the emergence of the Omicron variant, the World Health Organization has said.

The UN health agency’s regional office for Africa said newly reported cases fell 20% in the week to Sunday while notified deaths dropped 8%.

Matshidiso Moeti, the WHO’s regional director for Africa, described the 56-day flareup as Africa’s “shortest upsurge yet” but added: “The continent has yet to turn the tables on this pandemic. So long as the virus continues to circulate, further pandemic waves are inevitable.”

Australia’s Omicron wave has likely peaked, experts say

The Omicron outbreak of Covid cases appears to have peaked in New South Wales, Victoria and other parts of Australia, epidemiologists believe.

Prof Adrian Esterman, an epidemiologist and biostatistician at the University of South Australia, said the Omicron wave had “absolutely certainly” peaked in NSW and Victoria.

The Reff – the effective reproduction number, which measures how many other people someone with Covid will infect, on average – had dropped below 1 in both states, Esterman said.

“We know that the peak has been reached when the Reff gets below 1.”

Bank Blocks Donations Supporting Cuban Effort to Vaccinate World

Progressive International recently asked for contributions so they can send a delegation to Havana next week to promote Cuba's effort to vaccinate the world against Covid-19.

But in an apparent genuflection to the illegal U.S. embargo against the island, Dutch multinational bank ING has blocked all donations supporting the trip, the group said Tuesday.

"This is scandalous," said Progressive International (PI) general coordinator David Adler.

"The U.S. wields unparalleled power over our global financial system," Adler continued. "Yesterday, a message received by our supporter revealed the far-reaching consequences of the U.S. embargo on Cuba: a European bank, established in the Netherlands, has decided to put the interests of the U.S. government above the lives of millions of people."

He added that "the embargo seeks not only to suffocate Cuba, but also to stifle our solidarity with it."

In his message on Wednesday, Adler lamented that "it looks like others are following suit."

According to Pawel Wargan, coordinator of PI's Secretariat, PayPal has joined ING in blocking donations meant to help delegates travel to Havana. "We have a duty to end this genocidal embargo," said Wargan.

Anti-war activists at CodePink responded to the news by saying that "some of the most powerful people in the world would rather prolong a global pandemic than allow the Cuban people some relief from U.S. imperialism. What awful, deadly priorities."

As the coronavirus crisis enters its third year, new infections have reached record levels globally. Meanwhile, access to lifesaving vaccines remains starkly unequal. Several countries are administering booster shots—hundreds of millions of which are set to be thrown away in the coming weeks—before most of the world's poorest inhabitants have been given their first jab.

Nearly 9.8 billion Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered globally to date. More than 70% of people in high-income nations have been fully inoculated, but just 9.6% of people in low-income countries have received at least one shot due to dose hoarding by wealthy governments and knowledge hoarding by pharmaceutical corporations, whose profit-driven refusal to share publicly funded vaccine formulas has generated artificial scarcity.

According to a recent analysis, billions of additional Covid-19 vaccine doses are required to end the pandemic—meaning that global vaccine manufacturing must be ramped up significantly.

As PI said Monday when sharing its plan to send representatives to Havana "for a special showcase of the Cuban vaccines":

President Joe Biden could easily help fill this shortfall by compelling U.S. pharmaceutical corporations to share their vaccine technology with poorer nations. But he has so far refused to do so. A new production hub in Africa—where only 3% of people are vaccinated—is now trying to replicate the Moderna vaccine. But without Moderna's help, or Joe Biden's executive action, production could take more than a year to begin.

By contrast, PI continued, "Cuba has emerged as a powerful engine of vaccine internationalism."

That's precisely why PI is sending a delegation to Havana: to draw attention to "the promise of the Cuban vaccine and the perils of the U.S. embargo against it," with the goal of forging "connections between Cuba's public biotech sector and manufacturers who might produce the vaccine and help the Cuban government recuperate the costs of its development."

Despite the added challenges created by a six decade-long U.S. blockade, Cuba's public biotech sector has developed two highly effective vaccines. And its universal healthcare system has fully inoculated more than 86% of its population, quickly surpassing many wealthier nations, including its northern neighbor.

Moreover, the island has already started exporting its homegrown doses and plans to share its recipes with impoverished nations abandoned by Big Pharma and wealthy countries.

Israeli 4th Shot Trial FAILS, "Not Good Enough" Against Omicron. WHO Says Kids DON'T Need Booster

US children’s Covid vaccinations lag despite record infections

As the Omicron variant rips through the US, children are being infected with Covid-19 in record numbers – yet their rate of vaccination has lagged, creating a surge in hospitalizations and undermining in-person schooling.

Nearly a million new Covid cases – more than 981,000 – were confirmed in children in the week ending 13 January, a 69% increase from the week before and four times higher than last winter’s peak, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics. That means one in 10 Covid cases among children in the entire pandemic have happened in the past week, the organization said.

Adult rates have shot up, too, with an average of more than 870,000 confirmed cases a day in the US – but children have much lower vaccination rates. Only 18.8% of kids aged five to 11, and a little more than half of 12- to 17-year-olds, are fully vaccinated, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Hospitalizations for kids are soaring, although severe illness and death are much less likely for children than adults.

Death registrations for 2020 and 2021

for deaths where COVID-19 was listed as the underlying cause, but had no other pre-existing conditions recorded on the death certificate, England and Wales

From below the clip...

Therefore, 2020 and first 3 quarters of 2021
Total deaths from covid alone, 17,371

Of this number 13,597 were 65 or over
Of this number, 3,774 were under 65

Average age of death in UK from covid in 2021 82.5 years

Average life expectancy in the UK, 2018 to 2020
79.0 years for males
82.9 years for females

This represents a fall of 7.0 weeks for males and a slight increase of 0.5 weeks for females (from the latest non-overlapping period of 2015 to 2017)

Looks like we've been scammed, scared, and manipulated.

To bad this wasn't the messaging (from FLCCC)

COVID is treatable
There is no one-size-fits-all solution to end the pandemic — a multi-faceted approach is necessary
Many compounds have proven effective, including nutritional therapeutics, supplements and repurposed FDA-approved drugs
Clinical evidence from doctors all over the world shows positive outcomes
Early treatment works!
Some patients show improvement within hours
Access to treatment as soon as symptoms begin is an essential part of ending the pandemic
Early treatment is essential both for those who are not vaccinated, as well as those who are vaccinated but experience breakthrough infections
Let doctors be doctors
Public health officials are artificially limiting the ability of healthcare providers to manage the pandemic
More and more doctors are refusing to stand by and watch their patients deteriorate or die unnecessarily when simple solutions exist
Healthcare providers have vowed to do no harm, while constantly innovating and challenging the status quo in order to be the champion of their patients

Abstract
Hyperinflammation is related to the development of COVID-19. Resveratrol is considered an anti-inflammatory and antiviral agent. Herein, we used a network pharmacological approach and bioinformatic gene analysis to explore the pharmacological mechanism of Resveratrol in COVID-19 therapy. Potential targets of Resveratrol were obtained from public databases. SARS-CoV-2 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were screened out via bioinformatic analysis Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) datasets GSE147507, followed by Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway enrichment analysis; then, protein-protein interaction network was constructed. The common targets, GO terms, and KEGG pathways of Resveratrol targets and SARS-CoV-2 DEGs were confirmed. KEGG Mapper queried the location of common targets in the key pathways. A notable overlap of the GO terms and KEGG pathways between Resveratrol targets and SARS-CoV-2 DEGs was revealed. The shared targets between Resveratrol targets and SARS-CoV-2 mainly involved the IL-17 signaling pathway, NF-kappa B signaling pathway, and TNF signaling pathway. Our study uncovered that Resveratrol is a promising therapeutic candidate for COVID-19 and we also revealed the probable key targets and pathways involved. Ultimately, we bring forward new insights and encourage more studies on Resveratol to benefit COVID-19 patients.

COVID?

Thats in its essence whats was at stake in the case of this man,

He has been moved to another hospital and is doing much better. He was very undernourished - the most undernourished patient the new hospital had ever seen. He is now conscious and responding to people, he is blinking in response to questions, he was not brain dead.

Poor man, last I looked, being unvaccinated didnt carry the death penalty.

An Alabama Man Nearly Died From COVID-19… the First Week in January 2020

Husband and wife have both tested positive for antibodies
First symptoms emerged in mid-December – 2 weeks before Wuhan outbreak
Tim McCain, who almost died, would have been first CV-19 fatality in world
Story has received no national attention
Couple – possible “Patients Zero” in U.S. – has yet to be contacted by health officials
Wife never left hospital, saw first-hand the ‘nightmare’ critical COVID patients endure
Hospital staffers who treated McCain will not comment on his case
Director of nursing previously expressed opinion Tim McCain ‘definitely” had COVID-19
Couple believes lessons from husband’s case could have saved lives
Medical bill exceeds $2 million
ECMO machine credited with saving husband’s life; possibly first case in world
Medical records support COVID-19 diagnosis
On January 4, Tim McCain – a 38-year-old father of two from Sylacauga, Alabama – nearly lost his life in a medical drama that began in late December.

“It’s a miracle he survived,” says McCain’s wife, Brandie McCain, 39.

Her husband did survive, but if he had not Tim McCain might today be considered the first COVID-19 fatality in the world.

At the moment, a 61-year-old man from Wuhan, China – who died January 9th, five days after Tim McCain’s near-death experience – is considered the world’s first known COVID-19 fatality. Patricia Dowd, a 57-year-old California woman who passed away February 6th, is considered America’s first known COVID-19 death. Mrs. Dowd’s death occurred 33 days after Tim McCain was admitted to the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama in critical condition

Until last month, the Alabama couple believed they might be the first confirmed, or likely, COVID-19 patients in the country. However, stories in The Seattle Times and The Palm Beach Post have identified at least 13 other people who had COVID-19 symptoms as early as November and December. Like the McCains, all 13 tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies. But none of these individuals came close to dying.

Jimmy talks about hospitals claiming that they were overwhelmed with flu patients in 2018 and flu patients are being treated in tent and that there are 30,000 less hospital beds available than were previously. After 2 years of being told that hospitals are overwhelmed and there are no ICU beds he wonders why none have been built. It’s a good question, but we know why they haven’t. I posted a graphic awhile ago showing the same headline of hospitals being overwhelmed going back years. From all over the world.

Health agencies don’t want to know if Covid started here before they say it did.

On May 29th, as reported by NBC News, Dr. Jay Butler, deputy director for infectious diseases at the CDC, told the country that his agency had found “no indication the (novel corona) virus had been introduced into the U.S … in November or December. We looked for evidence of early widespread transmission and could not confirm it.” He added his team will continue to search for clues of the first cases on U.S. soil (emphasis added).

But if Dr. Butler and his team of infectious disease sleuths were indeed “search(ing) for clues of the first cases on U.S. soil,” they would have been eager to reach out to Tim and Brandie McCain of Sylacauga, Alabama.

As I recount in a story published on June 25th at www.UncoverDC.com, the McCain’s experienced virtually every one of the COVID-19 symptoms in December. Tim McCain almost died the first week in January. Of note, both Tim and Brandie McCain tested positive for antibodies in early May. Brandie McCain tested positive for antibodies again on June 24th (her husband has yet to receive a second antibody test).

At least for this journalist, the evidence that both McCain’s had COVID-19 in December meets the “beyond-a-reasonable-doubt” standard. And if this couple had COVID-19 in December or November – as did at least 14 other Americans (see below) – COVID-19 was almost certainly circulating in America at least two months before the CDC says it was.

This, I thought, was a big and significant story, one that every news editor would be eager to publish. As it turns out, I’d thought wrong.

More than a month before the article was finally published I began to send my story – or a pitch of the article’s numerous “newsworthy” features – to editors at approximately 25 well-known news organizations. Only four editors replied with a short “we’ll-pass-on-this” message and none asked to see the supporting evidence I offered to provide.

Perhaps those on the right didn’t like the story because it could call into question the premise that the virus originated in China in late December. (The story is actually mute on this question and certainly doesn’t rule out the possibility the virus may have begun in China earlier than the public was initially told). (Don’t forget about the vaping lung disorder that was reported in early 2019 that mysteriously disappeared before the Wuhan outbreak. -sd)

A third possibility is that the news judgment of “big-time” editors is simply much different than this former small-time newspaper editor. Yet another possibility is that today’s press corps has become increasingly leery of publishing any story that contradicts statements of government authorities or “experts,” a chilling statement about our free and “skeptical” press if true.

The day after my story was published, I sent an email to Dr. Landers and the ADPH’s media relations contact. In the email, I provided a link to my article and also included Brandie McCain’s telephone number.

In this email I dispensed with decorum and told Dr. Landers what I really thought:

“The fact you or no other infectious disease experts will even follow up with this family is borderline criminal, perhaps professional malpractice or maybe just incompetence, displaying an utter lack of professional curiosity,” I wrote.

“I hope you read this story and this sidebar closely. If you still shrug your shoulders and dismiss the significance of their case, we need new officials at the ADPH. There is certainly copious and persuasive evidence that this couple may have had the virus. Isn’t it your job to investigate people that meet this profile? Brandie is literally begging for some attention from ‘experts.’ She and her family are also suffering (likely) long-term effects from this disease, areas that need to be understood and studied. Details of their case can help others.”

“I’m sorry this email comes off harsh, but someone needs to reach out to the McCain’s and show the world that our state health department understands the implications and significance of these likely positive cases.”

I received no response to this email.

I find that very interesting. Is it because it not only goes against the narrative that Covid escaped from Wuhan or because it might point to it escaping from one of our labs here that we were told were shutdown for gain of function meddling? You get too many smoking guns and it leads up to a smoking crater that smells badly. Add in the Fauci emails and everything else we’ve learned in the last 2 years and yes something stinks.

He also contacted the CDC to no avail either. But look at what else he found.

should note that my article on the McCain’s was not the only journalism that identified early COVID-19 patients.

The Seattle Times and Palm Beach Post had previously published stories that identified 13 other people who were sick in November and December who later tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies. Surely, I thought, editors at these two papers would be interested in any story that corroborates or supports the theory advanced in their own two articles.

Wrong again.

I did receive one reply from Lewis Kamb, the reporter who wrote The Seattle Times story. Mr. Kamb said he was busy covering the George Floyd protests, but he did ask one question: “Did the couple you’re focusing on travel to China prior to their illnesses or have contact with anyone who did? Just curious.”

“No,” I replied.

As it turns out, however, I missed one of the most intriguing cases. Michael Melham, who is the mayor of Belleville, New Jersey, also got sick in late November and has now tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies. Readers can watch this 4-minute YouTube video and gauge for themselves if the mayor’s account is convincing. (Since this video was produced, the mayor has tested positive for antibodies a second time).

I contacted Mayor Melham by email and he told me he remains “steadfast” that he had the virus in November. He believes he contracted it at a conference he attended around Nov. 20th in Atlantic City. He also reports that several other people who attended the conference got sick at the same time.

Mayor Melham also told me no public health officials have contacted him to follow-up with his possible diagnosis. He said his case received “huge” amounts of media coverage in China, but very little in this country. (Fox News did run a story with the headline: “China uses New Jersey mayor’s claim he had coronavirus in November in propaganda war against US.”)

Does a simple “search for the truth” even matter anymore? For some journalists and for some employees at government agencies, I’m sure it still does. However, the numbers in this group seem to be diminishing by the week.

With my article on the McCain’s, I thought I was simply doing a story on one couple who had a disease earlier than this disease was said to have existed. As it turned out, my efforts to get this story published were more illuminating and ended up frightening me more than COVID-19.

When a genuine search for the truth is increasingly viewed as taboo or off-limits, the prognosis for a nation we all want to see survive and prosper is probably bleak.

Thoughts on why this information wasn’t plastered all over the country when it was found? IIRC the government is saying that Covid wasn’t released from the Wuhan lab, but if someone has other info let us know. Damn peculiar

When I went to Europe as a child (pre-EU) I remember beggars were not unusual. They were usually people who had suffered disfiguring injuries (probably in WWII whichy had happened not that long before).

There were still lots of towns where indoor plumbing and electricity plentiful enough for refrigeration was not the norm. I remember that.

get the Kimberly-Clark style masks. I think they are P-99. They look like a duck bill. They have the ability to seal out most junk.

Actually, now I use a rubber half face ventilator usually with P-100 HEPA cartridges. The purple screw on ones. You have to be clean shaven and the respirator need to be put on uncomfortably tight.

North also makes ones with a face mask that goes around your face and especially eyes.

The N-95 masks (made for painting, generally) are almost all near useless because they don't seal enough around the nose. My problem is that enough bad stuff still gets in around the nose to still make me feel sick. Some are made in the US, though. More probably come from China.

The use of the procedure masks is to prevent coughing people from directly coughing on other people. So they are mostly to protect others from you. They are unlikely to be able to stop viruses, however they likely do stop big balls of spit.

Covid-19 vaccines and treatments: we must have raw data, now
BMJ 2022; 376 doi: https://doi.org/10.1136/bmj.o102 (Published 19 January 2022)

Data should be fully and immediately available for public scrutiny

In the pages of The BMJ a decade ago, in the middle of a different pandemic, it came to light that governments around the world had spent billions stockpiling antivirals for influenza that had not been shown to reduce the risk of complications, hospital admissions, or death. The majority of trials that underpinned regulatory approval and government stockpiling of oseltamivir (Tamiflu) were sponsored by the manufacturer; most were unpublished, those that were published were ghostwritten by writers paid by the manufacturer, the people listed as principal authors lacked access to the raw data, and academics who requested access to the data for independent analysis were denied.1234
...
Unacceptable delay

Pfizer’s pivotal covid vaccine trial was funded by the company and designed, run, analysed, and authored by Pfizer employees. The company and the contract research organisations that carried out the trial hold all the data.17 And Pfizer has indicated that it will not begin entertaining requests for trial data until May 2025, 24 months after the primary study completion date, which is listed on ClinicalTrials.gov as 15 May 2023 (NCT04368728).
...
Transparency and trust

As well as access to the underlying data, transparent decision making is essential. Regulators and public health bodies could release details27 such as why vaccine trials were not designed to test efficacy against infection and spread of SARS-CoV-2.28 Had regulators insisted on this outcome, countries would have learnt sooner about the effect of vaccines on transmission and been able to plan accordingly.29

Big pharma is the least trusted industry.30 At least three of the many companies making covid-19 vaccines have past criminal and civil settlements costing them billions of dollars.31 One pleaded guilty to fraud.31 Other companies have no pre-covid track record. Now the covid pandemic has minted many new pharma billionaires, and vaccine manufacturers have reported tens of billions in revenue.32
...
Twelve years ago we called for the immediate release of raw data from clinical trials.1 We reiterate that call now. Data must be available when trial results are announced, published, or used to justify regulatory decisions. There is no place for wholesale exemptions from good practice during a pandemic. The public has paid for covid-19 vaccines through vast public funding of research, and it is the public that takes on the balance of benefits and harms that accompany vaccination. The public, therefore, has a right and entitlement to those data, as well as to the interrogation of those data by experts.

Pharmaceutical companies are reaping vast profits without adequate independent scrutiny of their scientific claims.33 The purpose of regulators is not to dance to the tune of rich global corporations and enrich them further; it is to protect the health of their populations. We need complete data transparency for all studies, we need it in the public interest, and we need it now.

Since the trials never even explored that then why were we told that they would be efficient to stop the infection and spreading of them? It’s just recently that Biden has stopped saying that "if you get vaccinated you aren’t going to get Covid." The unjabbed are being vilified for not getting one and many have been fired from their jobs for it.. that poll Jimmy talked about with people wanting the unjabbed to be punished is a direct result of the lies they’ve been told. Even while millions of double jabbed and boosted people are sick with Covid now. Just because it’s more contagious shouldn’t keep people from seeing that they have been.

Pfizer didn’t test to see it was safe for pregnant women to take them, but they are told it is. The tests they did for kids used lots of old data for adults. And it was from the original virus not the ones that came after.

Which AIPAC/MIC/pharma/bank bought politician are you going to vote for? Don’t be surprised when nothing changes.

There was a huge outbreak of COVID-like illness in Northern England in late 1919.

Also in California after a big conference. I am fairly certain that people who had gone to some big conference in Northern California in late 2019 got it in large numbers.

So it seems like it may have originated in the US or UK?

Ordinary Americans might wonder why the Justices protected some people from undergoing a coerced medical procedure but not others. The obvious inconsistency in their position probably has not occurred to the Justices. As they see it, in the case of private businesses OSHA was exercising power not conveyed to it by Congress, but Congress did give authority to the Secretary of Health and Human Services, from whence came the mandate for health care workers, to promulgate rules as the Secretary “finds necessary in the interest of the health and safety of individuals who are furnished services” by Medicare and Medicaid Services.

So for the mindless Justices, the Nuremberg Laws do not enter the decision, only whether the authority imposing a Josef Mengele policy of coerced medical intervention has the OK from Congress to do so.

This thinking, or lack thereof, indicates the completeness with which the rule of law has collapsed in the United States.

What we have is the complete separation of law from justice and the violation of the US Constitution that requires equal treatment under law. The Justices have, again, delivered unequal treatment.

As I have noted on many occasions, the United States is the Constitution. If the Constitution is dead, so is the United States.

This is the point I’ve been trying to make. It removes body autonomy. Hospitals allow medical staff that have direct contact with patients to wear masks if they don’t get flu shots, but it’s not allowed for unjabbed people to wear them while allowing infected ones to do so. If masks work for infected jabbed people then why don’t they work for the unjabbed ones just as well? People can get exemptions for medical and religious reasons, but they are rarely given for the Rona. Flu has killed way more people than Rona has, but….my mind can’t make sense of the rules because they don’t make sense period.
