The effects of masking on children.

.

Some psychologists and educators worry that such impairment in facial processing can lead to a spate of challenges with socialization and communication. Kids may find reading people’s emotions through masks particularly difficult.

.

The World Health Organization also recommended that schools weigh potential “psychosocial development” concerns when deciding mask requirements for children ages 6 through 12.

A health recommendation that takes little account of how human beings act and what they need is unlikely to be successful.

from more than just masking. My teacher friends have told me learning has become a farce in this environment, and the job almost unbearable.

I'm a bit concerned about John Campbell. Since he debunked the BBC IVM hit piece, there's not been another video. He usually churns out one a day. Hope TPTB haven't done a hit job on him.

The COVID crisis has persisted so long now I've lost all concern for myself. I've prepared with two jabs, plenty of Vit D, C, Zn, and so on. Ready with treatments if symptoms appear. So I'm continuing with my life which I spend primarily back here in the holler with no concern...back to whatever is left of normal. That's become my approach anyway.

Hope you are all well and happy!

@Lookout

Just seem weird to me. Young kids masked up, scattered in tiny desks, watching a wide screen TV with a 'teacher' at the front of the room being programmed. It is worlds away from what I remember of primary education. They still get recess, masked and scattered. I see no air filtration in the classrooms, and masking outdoors seems silly. Kids are naturally adaptable but .. some aspects of social integration are off the cliff. What is this new 'be safe' mantra doing to their developing minds?
Whew!

@Lookout @Lookout I skipped the unsafe jabs and the constant worry about side effects. Just received my backup supply of IVM from a secondary source. Everyone in my small circle went for the jabs, most for job reasons, and all were skeptical of IVM. But not so skeptical 5 months later. and two are crediting me for making the better move. I just hope TPTB don't shut it down. I may have to move to India.

without using other mitigation measures is useless. Especially when you put children in a over-crowded closed space with poor ventilation for long periods of time. We all know this. It's a fact. The virus spreads via aerosol. So why are we doing it? There are no excuses, it looks like we are intentionally harming children.

Who is in charge of the schools? What are they doing? It looks like they are doing nothing to solve this problem. We can argue over vaccine forever. But if our society were actually serious about stopping the spread of this virus, it would institute all the mitigation measure possible. Otherwise all the faux agony about stopping the spread is just B.S.

Here article on ventilation makes clear, once again, that it is a crucial mitigation strategy for controlling the spread of this virus. https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.10.08.21264765v1

The results from 32 relevant studies showed that: increased ventilation rate was associated with decreased transmission, transmission probability/risk, infection probability/risk, droplet persistence, virus concentration, and increased virus removal and virus particle removal efficiency; increased ventilation rate decreased risk at longer exposure times; some ventilation was better than no ventilation; airflow patterns affected transmission; ventilation feature (e.g., supply/exhaust, fans) placement influenced particle distribution.

Totally agree rand. The local schools receive direction from the state education board. It would seem to me the highly paid local school administrators could interpret the state rules pertinent to their individual situations. Consider the needs of the kids, the effect of edicts on learning. I just cringe when I see a bunch of fearful eyed kids being herded into an uncertain future. Seemingly without regard to the consequences of this 'stay safe state of being'.

for all plane and train travel on January 1, 2022 with NO exemptions on religious grounds. They will also mandate vaccinations for access to schools/universities and all other government buildings including welfare and social assistance. Users of these services will be cut off if they cannot respond in person. Hospital visits will also be curtailed. This mandate will include all ages from 12 and up (soon to be 5 and up). Booster shots as required will be included. (The Federal Government of Canada has already placed a non-cancelable order for 30 million booster shots for 2021, another 30 million for 2022 and 60 million of 2023 - for a population of 36 million - so you can see where this is heading.)

SUMMARY OF SARS-COV-2/COVID-19 POLICY ISSUE
Stewart Staudinger

Bottom Line Up Front.
On 06 August 2021, Public Health England published their Technical Briefing 20 “SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern and variants under investigation in England”1. The data contained in this technical briefing is a damning indictment of SARS-CoV-2 vaccine efficacy and safety and accompanying mass vaccination policy.
...
Executive Summary.

The following is a summary of the scientific and legal problems associated with recent and current SARS-CoV-2 / COVID-19 policy. I have been petitioning government through my local MLA on this subject since March 2020 and have seen little positive response.
...
Case Study – Alberta. Now the case of Sweden is covered, we must look at Alberta. Statistics Canada data was not updated for nearly 3 months in early 2021 before data began to be released again. Despite resuming reporting, the ‘lag’ in data release has increased from 6 weeks to about 12, with no rational explanation.

NOTE: In order to understand Alberta’s experience with COVID-19, one must understand a basic principle of viral transmission. Transmission rates are directly correlated to population mobility. Minimising overall deaths requires policy that maximises the relative mobility difference between the least and most vulnerable demographics in society. This means the transmission rate is highest among the least vulnerable and lowest among the most vulnerable and herd immunity among the least vulnerable is reached while the minimum of high-risk individuals are exposed.

If a public policy reduces the relative mobility of the least vulnerable demographics, herd immunity effects are delayed, increasing the exposure window for the more vulnerable demographics. The more that mobility is restricted among the least vulnerable, the higher the overall population mortality rate will be.

With that scientific principle established, let us look how it played out in Alberta.

The 2 vaccine shots I had meant what exactly? Not immunity, that's for sure.

And putting aside my 7 month and ongoing allergic sort of reaction to the second shot, what was the point?

It is not even a Good Citizen Pass of some kind because it has an expiration date. After which I'll be consigned to the Outer Darkness. Voted Off the Island. Pick your metaphor.

Power and Control are the obvious answers. A nation of periodically injected drones, not exactly free humans.

Uniting. Striking. Supporting one another as we figure it all out in our own time. That's the forward direction I can believe in.

says Ontario ER doctor.

Rumble — Dr. Patrick Phillips reports on what he's seeing in the ER as a result of lockdowns and the bioweapons being falsely marketed as 'vaccines', and provides a warning for parents, especially of teenagers, to watch for signs of suicidal depression.

For following the law and proper medical practice in reporting 'vaccine' harms to the public health officer, Dr. Phillips is now being disciplined by the CPSO (College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario) and has been prohibited from providing exemption letters for masks, 'vaccines' and testing as well as from prescribing effective medications for Covid such as Ivermectin.

Dr. Phillips also makes some sage observations on what is happening in our society.

"They’ve made the Canadian people just so miserable by the lockdowns, social isolation, taking away our economy and our hope for the future…and they start pitting this against those who don’t comply, and that funnels all the rage, all the despair against the innocent, rather than those who are causing the problem.

It’s almost like a genocidal rage that’s being scapegoated against the unvaccinated."

@on the cusp

They are going to fine people who are not vaccinated by 11/13 $5,000. They also have to post a video of their location in 15 minutes if called to do so. No post, expect a visit from the authorities. Such draconian measures to get people to take the vaccines is driving more people to question them.

First they started bribing people to take them and now they are threatening them to do it… I just can’t believe how many people think that this is okay. During a Covid outbreak they find more vaccinated people were infected then unvaxxed were. But guess who gets blamed for it? Hint: not the vaccine companies for making a product that doesn’t protect from getting infected afterwards. Doh!

@Lookout

Not letting people get organ transplants if they aren’t vaccinated seems a weird way to keep people alive. I remember when this news first came out and was appalled at how many people agreed with the rule. This seems to go with the doctors who won’t treat people if they aren’t vaccinated. I posted that a few days ago if anyone wants to read it. It’s maybe in Monday or Sunday dose essay. Sorry, I posted a rebuttal for doctors who want to do that.

Hippocratic oath is first do no harm. Not allowing organ transplants is definitely doing harm. IMO.

I agree with Chris. Mass psychosis and I’m nervous about where it’s heading. Never before has people blamed someone for getting sick or like Trump was blamed for every death that happened during his tenure. NYC and California had the highest death rates under 2 dem governors, but it was Trump’s fault somehow.

It’s the same mask flip flop that he did. As did Biden’s surgeon general. I think they all told us the truth at the beginning. The surgical ones do not protect as well as the n95 does and it should be fitted per person like they are in hospitals. Seems that there are always videos to show the flippery flops.

@snoopydawg , about the n95 masks. Almost no one has a mask with a good fit. Children especially do not. To assume that children are protected in school because they are wearing a mask (in my opinion) is absurd. Even in hospitals the staff in many instances are not wearing n95s. The gaps evident on so many people wearing masks means they have a false sense of security.

@ggersh considered when added to patients drug therapy. The following links highlight most of the risk factors which should be considered on an individual basis. Aspirin is not as safe as ivermectin. A 2005 study on gastrointestinal bleeding events.

Results: The incidence of hospital admission due to major GI events of the entire (upper and lower) gastrointestinal tract was 121.9 events/100,000 persons/year, but those related to the upper GI tract were six times more frequent. Mortality rate was 5.57% (95% CI = 4.9-6.7), and 5.62% (95% CI = 4.8-6.8) in study 1 and study 2, respectively. Death rate attributed to NSAID/aspirin use was between 21.0 and 24.8 cases/million people, respectively, or 15.3 deaths/100,000 NSAID/aspirin users. Up to one-third of all NSAID/aspirin deaths can be attributed to low-dose aspirin use.
