Hill-HarrisX polls
This article instantly depressed me.
Fifty-nine percent of registered voters in the latest The Hill-HarrisX poll said they favor keeping some American forces in Syria, a sign of public opposition to President Trump's plans to withdraw all troops from the country.
Sheesh. That's not the way I remember people thinking. Sure enough, just last year, voters were overwhelmingly against troops on the ground in Syria.
A Huffington Post/You Gov survey showed a 51-to-32 percent edge in favor of Trump's decision, the first direct U.S. attack on Syria during its six-year civil war.
But both polls showed only about a fifth of those polled want the U.S. leader to take further military action against the Damascus government.
So now people have totally shifted their opinion? Why?
I got suspicious. Who conducted that first poll? Hill-HarrisX.
Hmmm. That sounds familiar. It reminds me of a recent Joe Biden poll.
The Hill-HarrisX daily poll, conducted Dec. 16-17, found that 83 percent of self-identified progressives prefer Biden, compared to 75 percent who picked Sanders. Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-Texas) was the top choice for 66 percent of "strong liberal" respondents.
Yea, right. Progressives prefer Biden? And pigs fly. Biden opposes progressives.
Polls clearly show that progressives prefer Bernie.
So I looked up Harris Analytics. It seems they got purchased in 2017 by the Stagwell Group, that was itself created just four years ago.
And who runs the Stagwell Group? Mark Penn.

Color me surprised.
I'm going to keep a look-out for Hill-HarrisX polls for now on. They can't be trusted.

IIRC--and I'm not saying that I do--Mark Penn was the
member of Hillary's campaign team who, according to Game Change, "colluded" with Bill Clinton most. Meaning, if Bubba had a bright idea, he'd pull Penn aside and Penn would advocate the idea to the team, as though it were Penn's.
Whether or not my recollection is correct, Penn was allegedly the member of Hillary's 2008 primary campaign team who first came up with the bright idea of portraying Obama as "the other," rather than as all-American with Kansan roots whose Granddad and Great Uncle were World War II veterans. And that morphed into The Kenyan, as Caucuser hecate was wont to refer to Obama and the "Obama was born in Kenya" nonsense.
That originated, not with Trump, as my very own Phi Beta Kappa Barnard alum sister now imagines, but with the Hillary campaign. Supposedly, with two young volunteers or underlings of some other sort, the bottom of the totem pole, not unlike April Glaspie, who started the rumor with emails, all on their own, with no connection to anyone or anything else in the 2008 "racially-charged" primary campaign of Hillary Clinton. And, if you believe that......
Supposedly, Bubba worked through Penn because Hillary and her campaign were hostile to his "interference." Hillary, who thinks Bubba walks on water and forgives him anything, hostile to his involvement in her campaign? Seriously?
My personal belief is that Bubba "colluded" with Penn to "meddle" in Hillary's campaign with Hillary's knowledge and consent, but neither of them wanted to be quoted as having suggested any of the racially-tinged" crap; and Penn was a loyal, willing stooge and/or a well-compensated one.

The polling is so crooked so often, that the people reporting on it have to know. The LA Times did an article about their own weighted polls in 2016, and discussed the psychology of how a certain (large) percentage of people just want to be on the winning side. They all know it is a BS game being played, the pollsters and those that report on it. Cases like this are so egregious as to boggle the mind. It is propaganda, not a poll. Yeah sure, we like Biden... for bidet.
