I wonder why too. Wonder if this is just rumor? I suppose we’ll soon find out.

Well Jim
doesn't congress have the power to subpoena people to show up and if they don't then you can send someone to either haul their butts in or arrest them.
Rosenstein may have been kidding about doing that, but McCabe and Lisa Page wanted to do it. What are those two doing now? Who knows, but one thing that they aren't doing is working at the FBI.
Here's what this is about.
Former FBI lawyer: Plot to record, remove Trump not a joke
The Steele dossier was given to journalist David Corn by someone from Fusion GPS a company that people hire to clean up their reputation. One way they do that is by giving stories to the press. Corn gave the dossier to Baker because Steele had been fired and he couldn't do it himself.
Hopefully Russia Gate will finally be exposed as Hillary's getting the FBI to gather 'dirt' on Trump so she could win the election. And Rachel will have to explain that to her fans.
Which AIPAC/MIC/pharma/bank bought politician are you going to vote for? Don’t be surprised when nothing changes.
Rachel will never tell the truth. She will spin until
her false eyelashes fall off.
As a child, I thought the FBI kin to the
Holy Grail. In college, I saw the FBI as yet another right-wing government organization, like the CIA and the military. More recently, I see the FBI as yet another right-wing organization that Third Way Democrats pwned, like establishment media.
The source of the above quotation is me, pretending to be
an old-time snake oil salesman or carnival barkerer,a sidewalk griftera spokesperson for Third Way Democrats.Rod Rosenstein flew on Air Force 1
with Trump to Orlando for a Police Chief's conference on Monday. Trump said they did talk during the flight. I would love to know what the discussion was about.
IMHO, Rosenstein's time is limited, but what I am wondering is if his refusal to appear before Congress is an attempt to bait the President into firing him, thus crossing what Chuck Schumer called the red line.
Meanwhile, if Congress had any guts, they could possibly charge Rosenstein with contempt of Congress. However, that appears to have some limitations.
At this point, I am not sure how much is theater and how much is political posturing, or perhaps a combination of both.
Do I hear the sound of guillotines being constructed?

It's difficult to know
what's going on. Jeff Carlson asks whether or not Rosenstein is acting in the interests of justice or whether he's acting in the interests of one side or the other in a political battle. I have no idea, but what I appreciate about Carlson is that he looks at the dates on which things happen, and he then sees a sequence that makes sense to him.
